It was already pretty obvious, but now I feel this all but confirms it. I now have 0 doubt that the NX comes out in 2016.

It'll happen. You just need to be patient. Just based on pure consoles sold alone shows that this will end up as a collectors item.

NX is "brand new concept" therefor mayby not.. mayby this is a dedicated gaming phone or some kind of VR system.

We don't know.. but a 2016 replacment for WiiU.. would be the thing that make the less sense.. IF it should replace anything.. it would most lickly be 3DS.

3DS still sells well and DQXI is coming out for 3DS.

WiiU doesn't sell well and has little to no support what so ever, including no DQXI (even though it got DQX). It makes more sense than a 3DS replacement. Makes even more sense than a Nintendo phone.

Of course it releases in late 2016. But people didn't want to listen. Nintendo could make a public statement and say "we will release NX in late 2016" and gamers would still put their fingers into their ears and scream "lalalala it'll release in 2017".

The fact that Nintendo said NX is a home console and they'll talk about it (= release it) in 2016 but gamers still don't want to listen should be a warning sign that the "gaming community" is indeed living in a parallel universe.

So apparently Nx is a home console because a game also coming to a handheld is being released on it?
Next year is the right time to replace the 3ds. I don't think this announcement can say anything about wii u

So isn't Dragon Quest the first title to actually be announced for NX? If so I will say that it's good to see Nintendo bringing huge franchises like this on board pretty early on, I mean we don't even know what NX is yet.

Nintendo always announce early that they working on next hardware.
