Dragon quest X was announced in 2008 and it wasn't released until 2012 so that was a four year span between announcement to release. I doubt it going by the videos shown tbh, SE would say that they will but the PS4 version looks to need a lot more time from what was shown, 3DS was much further along in development in comprison.

That would suck but it does look like. I'm still being optimistic and hoping for a 2017 release.
Anyways, I will wait to buy the NX and only get it if it sells well, because if it sells poorly, then Nintendo will stop supporting it too after 3 years.

The "its all about 2015" stance at E3 certainly also helps point in that direction. I think Smash Bros was their final effort at getting a viable baseline going for Wii U.

This year is about shifting as much inventory as theycan before having to unveil NX publically. (Don't want to needlessly impact Q4 15 sales).

I don't understand bolded.

WiiU launched in 2012.
- I own 27 games, over half are exclusives, and another 25 VC titles.
- There are 5 others I still plan on buying; not including further VC content.
- Never ran out of things to play.
- It had full BC with Wii so lots of replay there too.

I really don't get how anyone can feel bad with the value of the system. If you don't like Nintendo games, then why buy a Nintendo system?

If NX has full BC with WiiU, then this is no different than buying a new phone every other year. Do you feel cheated every time a new phone model or tablet is released? Why are we all so stuck on the idea that a new model can't release until the old is 5 years? How many revisions of the same console happen every year or other year? Why are those not counted as a bad thing too?

I eagerly look forward to NX and the new content / ideas it will bring.
