Forums - Nintendo - SplatoonJP tweets Octoling without goggles... playable Octolings?

Excellent. Maybe now we can have the Octoling/Inkling wars. I hate to say it but I will betray inklings everywhere.

i'd totally be an octoling.

what if it's like only for a Splatfest, where you chose Good Guys or Bad Guys...

That would be cool. Although you'd also want it to be available after that Splatfest.

You say tomato, I say tomato

"¡Viva la Ñ!"

I think that image has been for a while now, probably since the game released.

My bet with The_Liquid_Laser: I think the Switch won't surpass the PS2 as the best selling system of all time. If it does, I'll play a game of a list that The_Liquid_Laser will provide, I will have to play it for 50 hours or complete it, whatever comes first.

You mean the one with goggles? Yup but now you see the eyes, even though we already saw them with the hack last month.

If you watch the hacked video, you'll notice that the Octolings don't blink at all, so the eyes are censored.

Hmm, personally if I were part of the development team, i would save playable Octolings for the eventual sequel. The game is popular enough that even as DLC, you'd get more impact among the fan base if it was done in the sequel IMO.

No, the one withouth goggles. It has been in the Splatoon wiki for a while now. http://splatoon.wikia.com/wiki/Octoling#comm-6099 One of the comments, from June 15, has attached the image. So... does anyone what the twitt said?

I agree, that could be the best way to go about it with a sequel for NX and make it an online war agaisnt squids and octupus.

Image is also a month old? Maybe it was made after that hack appeared.

I'm kinda hoping in the future that we'll be able to set up the bonuses for our own gear. I'd love to make a octoling set with the bonuses from my main gear.
