PES European product manager Adam Bhatti has confirmed on Twitter that PES 2016 will run at 1080p and 60FPS. His post states the following:

We got there thankfully, Xbox One #PES2016 will be 1080p

Where does it say that it's 60fps?

On the front page you didn't bother to read.

I did read it and then I did read the tweet that confirmed half of it. So I guess that means the other half is confirmed by default.

I guess "60fps" would've taken it over the twitter character limit.

The title is so misleading.

They hit 1080p and it will continue to improve, easily doing it in the next few years. So the point is the tech is improving and all the people going around this site pounding on xbox one are yet again in here down playing this as well.

The Xbox One isn't gonna increase its power because it's limited by its GPU. The only thing DX12 will do is improve code and optimisation. So stop this Nonsense of DX12 being a game changer etc. The PS4 already has SDK coding to the metal. The GPU is far more customised and capable of GPGPU for future proofing

We don't know if it's going to be DX12 but software makes a difference as it enables devs to utilize the given hardware even better.

Hardware doesn't change is like saying tomorrow the sun rises. Nobody doubts it.

And to what extent GPGPU can be used within a GPU which is already doing graphics we have to see in the future. Not that I doubt the customizations Sony did to the GPU but I wonder how often the GPU "idles" and how long it idles so that you actually can make use of it.

This has nothing to do with DX12. Konami is just lazy and with a newer and easier to use Xbox One build they can now get more out of Xbox for the same amount of work.

The Xbox One can handle PES 2014/2015/2016 @ 1080P/60fps if the game was made by a hard working and competent company.

Great for Xbox, I think 1080p will become standard for XboxOne same like for PS4.

2013 and first half of 2014 720p. Mid 2014 to now 900p, now games are getting 1360x1080. Hopefully soon it'll actually reach 1920x1080 xD

Well they said in a video they reached 1360x1080p and they will try to increase it near the launch.

But it is true they reached 1080p (1360x1080p is 1080p too... just not FULLHD 1080p) with PES 2016.

I guess MS is pushing this 1080p dynamic or below 1920... 1360x1080 is close to 1600x900p.

Hilarious that there's less pixels at 1360x1080 than there is at 1600x900

Actually there is 2% more in 1360x1080. Additionally, anamorphic resolutions scale better due to only one axis being upscaled.

Though, they should at least try to get to 1440 for horizontal axis.

Hmmm you're right, I got the numbers mixed up after I was put them into the calculator before I posted.

I have no idea why games like PES takes so much resources.

Like I said before the news was bullshit since beginning.

PES is not running at 1080p on Xbone due FPS and game quality.

Deal with it.

Can somebody fix the thread title?
