Forums - Sony - Haze confirmed PS3 exclusive forever.

Saw this over on Neogaf just now--appears they announced Haze will always be a ps3 exclusive, with no ports.  The game has really been starting to look better every time I see it.  I'm really looking forward to Haze. I hated CoD4 & Unreal Tournament 3 becaue they offered no co-op splitscreen or online splitscreen. Co-op splitscreen is a staple of ANY FPS game IMO. I have my buddies over on Sunday's and we always play co-op splitscreen. Couldn't do that with CoD4 or UT3...it's no damn fun to watch each other play and take turns. Screw that.

So I'm looking forward to playing Haze to give me a break from Warhawk splitscreen.

News coming straight in from Play.com Live in Wembley stadium is final confirmation that Haze will eternally be a Playstation 3 exclusive.

The full game is playable at the event - that’s right, the full game and Kev Lochun will be giving a preview this weekend. It’s looking clean and sharp, and overdosing on Nectar is a pleasing yet disorientating experience.

The release is 22nd May, so it is not too far away

I'm very surprised. This is very much against Free Radical's past approach and against Ubisoft's approach as well.

Yep, hopefully the extra time pays off.  Most are saying it has--so we'll soon find out.

I'm not entirely sure about this game, it looks like it could be really awesome, but they could easily mess it up. I think I'll wait for the reviews before I decide for sure. Just out of curiosity, any ideas why they would keep it exclusive?

 Money!!!

Anyway, FR has a track record of being brilliant, so why should this be any different?

I suppose thats true, though I wouldn't have thought of that because of Sony's lack of attempts to keep exclusives lately. and I'm skeptical because I think that its a really great idea, I'm just a bit worried about how the story is gonna turn out. I don't just buy games for gameplay, I also love really good storylines, though I'm willing to overlook that in some cases (Star Wars Battlefront). If it turns out to be good, I'll definitely get it.

Lets hope that the sales will be at least as good as for AoT :)
