Which handheld has the best upcoming line-up?

3DS 267 74.17%

Vita 93 25.83%

3DS

Dragon Quest VII and VIII
Legend of Legacy
Mario & Luigi: Paper Jam
Bravely Second
and Fire Emblem: Fates

Most of the Vita games I'm interested in are being released for PS4 and/or PS3, so I'm good without a Vita.

Yes it exists. Stop denying it.

vita it has more games

3DS by far.

They both have pretty good line ups but a few of the 3DS games you listed may not even come out in  the west. Where as Vita on the other hand has these great games confirmed coming to the west:

Steins;Gate - August 31st

DanganRonpa: Another Episode - September 1st

Persona 4 Dancing All Night - September 29th

Corpse Party: Blood Drive - October 13th

Legend of Heroes: Trials of Cold Steel - November 17th

Sword Art Online: Lost Song - TBA 2015

Digimon Cyber Sleuth - TBA 2016

Legend of Heroes: Trials of Cold Steel 2 - TBA 2016

Zero Escape 3 - TBA 2016

World of Final Fantasy - TBA 2016

Plus all the other smaller titles like Lost Dimension, Dungeon Travelers 2, EDF 2, Senran Kagura, etc. Now if I add unconfirmed Japanese games the list would be even longer.

It's worth noting that this is also a 3DS game, so its appearance in both lists effectively nullifies it. Looking at your list of Vita games, it does have a strong and very different library from the 3DS, which is great. Lots of visual novels there, only a couple good ones (Ace Attorney, Zero Escape) on 3DS. Lots of decent licensed anime games on Vita, most of the 3DS ones seem pretty lousy by comparison. Vita definitely carved itself a niche... is it disparaging to call it an Otaku platform? I don't mean it in a negative way. Lots of good stuff for people who are into that.

That is the Vita for me, I recomend it for any otaku for a lot of weird anime-esque games, proud owner of one and proud otaku.

3DS is more of a normal game system(more genres to cover my gaming needs) to me but it has it's fair share of wierd gems. Also proud owner of one.

Meh, figured I'd add it in since nobody really mentioned it yet for either platform. And yes Vita definitely favors the Otaku crowd. Which is great for me I guess since I seem to like those kinds of games. Hopefully the localizations keep coming since I'd love to get Tokyo Xandau, Ys 8, Ray Gigant, Dragon Quest Heroes, Dragon Quest Builders, Digimon World: Next Order, Yoru no Nai Kuni, God Eater 2 ect. etc. the list goes on and on.

I'd definitely add Zelda Tri Force Heroes, Etrian Odyssey V, Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer, Project X Zone 2, Pokemon Super Mystery Dungeon, Stella Glow and The Legend of Legacy to the 3DS side.

I'm very glad that both handhelds are getting so much support!

I have added The Legend of Zelda: Triforce Heroes. But I don't want to make an exhaustive list, I want to make a list of games that are both popular and of good quality. I honestly think Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer looks like shovelware. Not too impressed by Pokémon Super Mystery Dungeon either. And I don't know enough about the other games to write about them!
