Wii U failure, even more when i understood 2 years ago that it would never outsell Vita, contrary to what most believers thought
Predictions for end of 2014 HW sales:
PS4: 17m XB1: 10m WiiU: 10m Vita: 10m
How successful the wii/ds was even after so many said they would flop
PC Specs: CPU: 7800X3D || GPU: Strix 4090 || RAM: 32GB DDR5 6000 || Main SSD: WD 2TB SN850

Who said the DS was going to flop?
Oh and PS4 being ahead of X1 was also a big surprise in America

Many did. I remember many articles back then saying how epic the psp was going to be and how it was going to out sell the DS by quite a bit due to the DS being so heavily underpowered and that the two screens didn't make any sense and etc

The most surprising thing sales figures wise has to be the Wii. Who the HELL would have thought that it would go on to become what it became? I don't think anyone saw it coming at all.
Runner up is probably the Genesis beating the SNES in the US... and for that fact, most of that generation as a whole. Before that, Nintendo was unstoppable.
Tomb Raider reboot
8.5 million copies?
Probably even more by now?
I was for sure that TR was a dead relic of the ps2 era

PSP vs DS was real in 2004 and 2005 and there was actual competition between the two devices. There were a lot of question marks, but those largely went away with the DSlite.
well when i first came to the site and similar sites and forums that talked about sales. i was very surprised to see that Pokemon still sold in the millions. that game died out where i live like 10 years ago. and i was surprised that it was still running till this day and selling millions.
