They have also proven to be totally out of touch with Gamecube, N64, wii-u...things like the wii are not going to happen twice, that's a fantasy. It's easy to see what i more likel;y, thet market is also smaller then it was back then.

3DS+Wii U first year shipments were about 20 million, that's with software droughts, bad marketing, and high prices. 


3ds + w-u LOL.  Anything can be big if you start combining 2 different products.

No it can't easily do that...that's insanity.... The handheld market is not near what it was either. No way it comes close, be surprised if it does that in 2 years..


you're being a bit naive, if the NX is truly a conversion of the handheld and console market then Nintendo could definitely do something like that in its first year, in fact what did the 3DS on its own do in its first 12 months? add that number plus at least a few million generally console fans of Nintendo and its doable, especially if its an affordable system

I don't think I am the one being Naive here.....the market is a lot smaller then even when 3ds launched...the handheld market is shrinking fast.

haha so 'out of touch' that Nintendo actually made wayyyy more profit in the Gamecube era than Sony did with the Playstation 2, the best selling system of all time

don't be misguided in thinking Nintendo isn't aware of what consumers want- the reality is Nintendo 2 main priorities are the following: making high quality games AND making profit

if for them to make for profit it requires a system is cheaper to manufacture and not exactly what the consumer wants then so be it. again, the N64 and Gamecube are terrible examples to bring up because Nintendo, despite not selling a ton, did great in terms of revenue

If this is the case it's going to be a weak, super cheap console (wii) and encorperate the handheld market aswell with the whole fusion thing.

Basically combining the 2 markets into 1 hardware thats super cheap. Still not happening.

Ummm the person u originally quoted said if it's a type of unification of handheld & console, if that happens than its only logical to compare it to both devices.
