it is kind of funny to think about this game on 3ds although it would be another huge strike against the wii u which it doesn't need whatsoever

Well I mean, if you don't care about wii u sales at all, then there is certainly no reason to be mad. I figured it would bother a lot of people on this site. I would be a 10 for sure 

I'd be completely fine with it if it was a very scaled down version, that implies that you should buy the Wii U version to get the true experience. That way I doubt it was kill Wii U sales of the game.

after reading some of your guys' replies, I understand a bit more where you are coming from, but this comment in particular convinced me the most. In the way you described, I guess maybe I wouldn't be that upset about it. And if it had a chance to actually help the wii u sales, then I'd definitely be for that. 

I think the way I was thinking of it was like this: people will look at the wii u's library and look at the 3DS's library, and they won't see games like hyrule warrives and splatoon as experiences unique to the wii u and may chalk it up to, well they both have this game so that doesn't influence me to get a wii u. they would basically be making the purchase out of ignorance of how the games are different 

I think it would be a great struggle to get this game to run and be playable on the handheld but if they could, why would I be mad?

More people get to play a great game, and it would surely hasten the arrival of a sequel. Win win!
