Many gaming fans love to play old console games in browser emulations, but Nintendo is less amused by these fan-made recreations. This week the company took down a popular JavaScript-powered Game Boy Advance emulator with dozens of pre-loaded games, claiming several copyright infringements.
This week the company took down a popular Game Boy Advance emulator that was hosted on the developer platform GitHub.

Nintendo requested to stop public access for to the web site in question by a takedown notice submitted to GitHub:

which led to its prompt shutting down and the user account being removed by it's owner.
In the takedown notice Nintendo writes:
“This web site provides access to unauthorized copies of Nintendo’s copyright-protected video games and videos making use of Nintendo’s copyrighted Pokémon characters and imagery in violation of Nintendo’s exclusive rights.”
Games available through the browser emulation included: Advance Wars, Dragon Ball Z, Super Mario Advance, Pokemon Emerald and The Sims 2.
Nintendo previously took similar action with againt another Game Boy emulator by iOS app GBA4iOS.
Nintendo doesn't allow messing around with their IPs.
