i think they just have to bundle realy good and cut 50$ to win the the holidays against the xbone.
the sales of the xbone will be bad, because the ps4 will crush it.

Like last year?

i dont think it can sell well again in europe. and the us will be weaker, the ps4 is dominating and has the better line up, and m$ will not cut the prices again.

Maybe if it drops to 100 dollars.

If you demand respect or gratitude for your volunteer work, you're doing volunteering wrong.

All I know is... Wii U cant keep its current 299$ pricetag.

I kinda expect a domino effect to happend once the PS4 gets a 50$ price cut, the Xbox one, gets one as well, which results in the Wii U getting one as well.

349$ PS4
299$ Xbox One
249$ Wii U

Happending this year? maybe.

While you have a valid point you should not forguet about Xenoblade and Star Fox LOL

Those are exclusives you can´t find anywhere else and WiiU already has a ton of great exclusives games, a price drop is what thousands of people have been waiting to buy the console.

I didnt forget. Xenoblade is a non entity because of a) the date it releases and b) how well the original game did (and the fact that its already released in JP). Star Fox doesnt have a date other than "Holidays" and the franchise has been insignificant for a Decade.

The Wii U doesnt need thousands to beat the Xbox One this holiday, it needs Millions. Even with a $100 cut you will be looking at $100 discounts for Xbox One. The Wii U lineup simply isnt strong enough in 2015, wheras the Xbox One has by far the strongest lineup of the 3 consoles going into the Holiday season.

Nothing with a realistic chance of happening will push Wii U over X1.
The last few people really need to let go of this fantasy. It's so summer 2014.

Xenoblade will be a system seller even if the game itself is not a big hit (it already happen in Japan, is that kind of game, plus, is made for western audiences and this time it will not have a best buy exclusivity 2 years after the japan release), also Reggie has already said that Star Fox is their key title this holidays so it seems like they are going to push it big time to make it relevant again.

I do agree it will not sell more than WiiU, but maybe it could be closer than we think with such price drop.

Probably should've had that drop a year ago with smash.

But Smash was their Ace in the hole along with MK8 last year. This year was suppposed to be Zelda. So a price drop, even a likely 50 dollar one, would be their wow factor this year.

Any sales momentum for Smash was destroyed when it was announced for 3DS. It could have been huge for Wii U, but 3DS put a stop to that. MK8 was the only big game that happened for Wii U in 2014. I really think Wii U could have seen some big console sales if it was exclusive.

I don't understand people that say they can't drop the price without taking a huge loss. I mean, this thing is $300 since 2012... is it really that hard to drop its price to $250? Will a super-ultra-mega outdated hardware be sold at loss at $250? wtf? You can't say they gamepad still coasts around $100... years have passed.

Bet with Teeqoz for 2 weeks of avatar and sig control that Super Mario Odyssey would ship more than 7m on its first 2 months. The game shipped 9.07m, so I won

Yes why not but i think the bigger factor are games, maybe they should bundle it with 5 exclusives instead
