The boss battles are so fucking shit. An impressive array of villains given no justice at all. SMH

I highly enjoy it,although I'm only half way through the story. trying to make it last.
It does have issues, but i still think its no less then a 8/10

Along with Tomb Raider, this was going to be my game of the year. Not a bad game but not the mind blowing experience I wanted. Story, atmosphere, graphics, gameplay etc were as good as ever but the package as a whole just felt disappointing. Agree? |
All the above for me and :
- Actual ending being locked behind collecting all the friggin Riddler trophies.
- No Playable Batwing
- No co-op
- the story entirely depending on Batman for no good reason telling every other hero to f off because he is Batman
I'm a couple hours into it and I do see the repetetiveness, I do enjoy the vehicle combat however, but I like travel without the batmobile so I use it as little as possible.
There's only 2 races: White and 'Political Agenda'
2 Genders: Male and 'Political Agenda'
2 Hairstyles for female characters: Long and 'Political Agenda'
2 Sexualities: Straight and 'Political Agenda'

Agree, it is so much more fun, faster and easier to travel using the grapel, especially after you upgrade it a few times.

Indeed, it seems openworld games get a pass when it comes to gameplay elements. The witcher 3 didn't control that well, fighting wasdn't that good and repetition soon set in. Yet it offered over a hundred hours of things to do. I've just now started plying GTA5 and it's the same again. Great world, yet all the gameplay elements are very average and the quests are strict Simon says sequences. When it comes to gameplay it's quantity over quality.
I love to explore new worlds so I'll play Batman Arkam Knight as well, with lowered expectations.
I haven't played it yet but after the reviews, I think I'll wait for it to go on sale before buying it.

Surprised people love the game, when I see such a huge backlash for the batcar part of the game.

Just wait. Wait until you start trying to diffuse the bombs. One time, I took on about 40+ enemy drones. FORTY! I'd destroy a few and more would just respawn. And if you fail, you get to sit through a minute of taunts and story recap before starting the whole battle over!
