Forums - Sales - Halo:MCC still in top 20 worldwide. No PS4 2015 Exclusive is in top 50.

Wow. And to think people used to try and tell me MLB is a HUUUUUUGE US system seller and software title.

Did they? I doubt it. The game has never sold over 850K in North America, which means probably never sold over 800K in the USA. How would anyone with the slightest clue about MLB historical sales ever claim it's a huge US system seller?

It is a minor system seller. It's consistently been the best baseball game on consoles, which means for the rather small number of baseball game enthusiasts Playstation is their console of choice. If MLB the Show didn't exist, or Sony stopped producing the franchise, a 3rd party multiplat would be the premier baseball game and Sony would lose a small number of console sales to the competition. Clearly, even though the Franchise sells relatively small numbers, and pretty much only in the NA, Sony regards it as an important franchise to keep going.

Anyway, I think the main argument of the OP: Halo 5 is gonna be huge. Is kind of redundant. Halo 5 was going to be huge with or without the existence of MCC. Is there some suggestion that Halo fans have not been buying MCC and that the MCC sales represents ~2.5 million never played Halo before gamers who will massively swell Halo 5 sales beyond all expectations, and that Halo fans have not been buying Xb one and are all waiting for Halo 5 to come along to massively swell Xb one sales?

Bundles, bruh.

"Just for comparison Uncharted 4 was 20x bigger than Splatoon 2. This shows the huge difference between Sony's first-party games and Nintendo's first-party games."

the game is bundled with every Xbox one basically..... that's why it is selling....

The bundle excuse doesn't work because it was bundled digitally

Uncharted 4, TLoU2, GT7 will outsell many, if not all, XOne exclusives. MCC will surely outsell games like The Order or BloodBorne. It all comes down to brand power.

Its because its in the 1tb bundle

You really expected Bloodborne or The Order to outsell Halo ? An almost 15 years old superpopular FPS franchise against a niche RPG and an average at best game ? Yup.

No XBO 2015 exclusive in the Top 50 either.

Both top selling exclusives for each platform are remasters of amazing games, released last year, and both have similar sales ratio, if I'm not calculating too wrong.

So I'd say both consoles are doing pretty much the same in terms of exclusive sales.
But yeah, nonetheless, Halo 5 will so amazing this holiday, no matter what happens. I mean, it's a MASSIVE release.

I don't really get what point you are trying to make here

@bold:

Would you kindly say that to certain members of this site? I would really appreciate it.

Edit: Well not the niche kind I'm thinking of but in a way.

What do you mean ? Some people claim it's not a niche game ?

Just because you have an opinion doesn't mean you are necessarily right.

You're obviously looking at the weekly sales and not the yearly.
