Multiplat, no reason not to want everyone to be able to enjoy the game unless your a fanboy and only want it on your console. Judging by the poll we got a lot of Nintendo fanboys here.

Maybe this 'new' SEGA that cares about quality does. But they honestly have many other projects that are safer investments to make.
If they're taking cues from Atlus and PG, they will tread very carefully about which platforms Bayo 3 will and will not be on.
Honestly, it's easier for SEGA now to just get Nintendo to sign another check and be glad the IP is active and profitable to them in some way.
I predict NX launches in 2017 - not 2016

The bolded... just wow... Does it still hurt to sit? They only thing daft is your prognostication that Bayo 2 would have sold that well on PS4 or XO. |
You're implying that he's butthurt. Why? Because if a third installment comes, he wants it to be multiplatform instead of WiiU exclusive, where it's doomed to fail to sell well?
Once you get past the typical top sellers (GTA, COD, FIFA, Battlefield), what games are at the top of the list of PS4 and XBOne? Shadow of Mordor, Witcher 3, Dragon Age: Inquisition, Dead Rising 3, Ryse.
Are these games anymore "mainstream" (the comment below my original says Bayo2 was 'niche' but I beg to differ. But, different strokes, I guess) than Bayonetta? Yet they sold millions. Why wouldn't Bayonetta 2 sell a few million on PS4/XBOne? It sold that much on PS3/360.

First give me The Wonderful 102 and then we talk Bayonetta 3.
That being said I would like that Bayonetta remains exclusive to Nintendo.

I'd say it'd be best for them to not waste their time on another installment.
I feel like people are forgetting that if Nintendo did not fund Bayo 2, it would have not happened. With that in mind, the question of whether it is exclusive to Nintendo or other consoles leans heavily in the big N's favor.

Even when Nintendo publishes this game and gives it its backing, Ninty fans still didn't buy it. Now, this may be the fault of the WiiU not having a particularly large install base, but then again, other Nintendo published games sold multiple millions. And it's not like Bayonetta is some niche game. Hack n slash is still alive and well. When a big Nintendo logo is on the package and Ninty fans still don't buy it, why should they get the next one? At least PS/XB fans actually demanded Bayo2 (i.e. Ninty fans had nothing to say about wanting Bayo2 prior to its WiiU exclusivity) to the point where the developer actually responded to it. I can understand being WiiU exclusive because Nintendo is the only reason the game could exist, but should a Bayo3 be brought up, find a different means to make sure the game exists. Because Nintendo surely isn't the right route. And obviously, if it goes PS/XB it probably won't go WiiU anyway, either because of architecture differences ("WiiU isn't powerful enough to achieve our vision") or the developer won't see the value in a WiiU version. I'm for the PS/XB exclusive choice because I don't see the value in a WiiU version. "But, more people will get to play the game. How does that affect you?". Because a WiiU version takes money to make. And if they don't recoup that money, then they take a loss. Which affects their overall business and making more and more games. It's not always as simple as "why don't you want more people getting the chance to play the game?" |
Because you think they would have expected a game where they didn't get the first part before? I don't think any Nintendo fan would have dared to even hope for the game prior to the announcement.
700k is not really bad considering the Wii Us Userbase, and the fact that the first one barely made 2 millions on a much bigger userbase.
Xbox/PS fans might been asking for the game, and they where also all praising the first one. Too bad none actually bought the game, else they would without a doubt have gotten the game served on a silver platter with Microsoft, Sony or even Sega financing the title. But with the sales as they where, nobody wanted take that risk - exept Nintendo. And considering how Platinum Games likes to work with them, I doubt the series will go anywhere else.
As for the OP: Multiplat would be nice, if Nintendo wouldn't get shafted in the process.
Nintendo exclusive.
"Just for comparison Uncharted 4 was 20x bigger than Splatoon 2. This shows the huge difference between Sony's first-party games and Nintendo's first-party games."

It cannot be anything else than a PS4 exclusive.

just curious, do you hold the stance that all games should be made for all consoles? Or maybe that their should only be one console?
