Multiplatform. It's just not working as a Nintendo exclusive.

Platinum would be absolutely daft to make it a Nintendo exclusive, the second has sold around 700k so far on wiiU but if it had released on ps4 and XO it would of hit over 4-5 million. I'd like to see a a third but only if it's multiplat or ps4/XO

The bolded... just wow... Does it still hurt to sit?

They only thing daft is your prognostication that Bayo 2 would have sold that well on PS4 or XO.

You're implying that he's butthurt. Why? Because if a third installment comes, he wants it to be multiplatform instead of WiiU exclusive, where it's doomed to fail to sell well?

Once you get past the typical top sellers (GTA, COD, FIFA, Battlefield), what games are at the top of the list of PS4 and XBOne? Shadow of Mordor, Witcher 3, Dragon Age: Inquisition, Dead Rising 3, Ryse.

Are these games anymore "mainstream" (the comment below my original says Bayo2 was 'niche' but I beg to differ. But, different strokes, I guess) than Bayonetta? Yet they sold millions. Why wouldn't Bayonetta 2 sell a few million on PS4/XBOne? It sold that much on PS3/360.

All those other IPs do have an established following of their own as well as big marketing budgets from their platform holders. Sega can't support that. And not really much of anyone else other than Nintendo seems interested.

Let's be honest: Bayo 2 would not be the same high-quality game if the Sega of the recent past produced it instead of Nintendo. It would sell just as bad, maybe worse than Bayo 2 on WiiU. Bayo 2's existence wouldn't excite people the way Bayonetta has now done as a Nintendo exclusive. It would come and go as yet another burden on Sega.

If Sony, MS, and others weren't interested in Bayo 2, why would they be interested in Bayo 3? They're obviously more interested in directly developing other IP with PG rather than work through Sega to get a slice of Bayonetta.

I predict NX launches in 2017 - not 2016

Don't care, just give me the game.

My bet with The_Liquid_Laser: I think the Switch won't surpass the PS2 as the best selling system of all time. If it does, I'll play a game of a list that The_Liquid_Laser will provide, I will have to play it for 50 hours or complete it, whatever comes first.

let everyone play it.

Multi so people can play it.

For those saying Bayonetta 2 failed because it was on Wii U:

Bayonetta 1 hit the bargain bin very fast, the game didn't sell well at full price. It's probably overtracked on this site as well. The fact that Sega (or anyone else other than Nintendo) didn't want to fund the game says all you need to know.

It cannot be anything else than a PS4 exclusive.

All games should be available on all platforms. Exclusives shouldn't exist. But if a game can achieve better quality by going exclusive, then It's fine. Bayonetta should remain Nintendo exclusive.

I highly disagree with that. If exclusives didn't exist, then there would be no reason for multiple consoles. If every game was on every console, then there would only need to be one console

none but if I have to choose, it better off being a multiplatform though I don't think we will ever see another bayonetta.
