Game brands do not have any sort of cool factor outside of the gaming community, they have a nerdy-geeky, uncool factor to them.

What is this, the 70s?

Girl: VVhat do you do for fun?

Me: Play video games.

Girl: Oh.

Not that all are like that,  seems common though.

OT: Good change, alvvays seemed odd to me that they vvould put it on music and videos. Be like putting Zune on gaming Zunebox or Zunegaming.

I always thought it was weird that their music service was associated with xbox even though it was on PC, it makes way more sense for it to be the other way around.

Platinums: Red Dead Redemption, Killzone 2, LittleBigPlanet, Terminator Salvation, Uncharted 1, inFamous Second Son, Rocket League

I just think that Phil is trying to condense the Xbox brand back into a gaming brand and less an "entertainment" brand. That's all.

This.

They're likely in the process of merging the Xbox brand into "Windows 10 gaming". If Xbox live gets renamed then that confirms this. I don't see them dropping the console though.

They could call it 'Windows Live' and might bring back windows live messenger ;)

There's only 2 races: White and 'Political Agenda'
2 Genders: Male and 'Political Agenda'
2 Hairstyles for female characters: Long and 'Political Agenda'
2 Sexualities: Straight and 'Political Agenda'

At this rate, I don't even know if the Xbox will still be named the Xbox.

I think MS will eventually morph the Xbox into a Windows gaming machine. The future of Xbox is MS's own steam like service and machine and they have they are heading in the right direction to make it happen. I just wonder what this will mean for Valve and Steam.

I think that this is probably related to people's perception. The public was probably thinking that both services only worked on Xbox consoles or that they would have to pay a gold subscription.

They had a survey where people confused Xbox Music with a gaming related service. It doesn't make sense to have it named Xbox Music. Same with Video. Especially as they push Windows 10.

Or Idk they could be leaving the console market.

Those entertainment services were failures anyways. Nothing to do with Xbox. I think they were charging $99 for an Xbox music pass at one point. Who would ever buy that?!

I already made a thread about this months ago, that they were removing xbox name from music and video.
