Yes, I'm definitely interested and it will be a Day 1 purchase for me. Why?
It's Nintendo-made, so:
1.) I know the quality, presentation, gameplay, controls, and content will be top-notch.
2.) I am fairly certain the game will work on release day, with no need for patches or bug-fixes.
3.) It has 100 pre-made levels and probably hundreds of user-generated levels, so this game will have tons of replay value.
4.) We haven't had a good 2D platforming Super Mario game in awhile, honestly. This will probably change that.
I'm amazed that you are sincerely comparing some random flash game to an actual Nintendo-licensed product. Wouldn't it be the same as me directing you to any number of shitty mobile/flash shooter games and saying "Why are people so excited about Halo 5? Isn't this just as good? Just buy this instead!"
Sorry, not trying to be rude. I guess the flash Mario game might be fine for a quick fix, but imo nowhere near the level or quality that SMM is going to be.
It'll be awhile before I figure out how to do one of these. :P
