Nintendo: Not work with Third Parties as much as Sony or Microsoft.

Microsoft: Revert all current Xbox Ones to their pre-E3 2013 form.

Sony: Go all digital.

Sony: I lost respect at the beginning of ps3 era with their arrogant attitude and the high price point. Went to xbox for the first time just to be disappointed right away because the console only lasted 4 months.

MS: like I said before, the console only lasted 4 months. Decided to replace it for a ps3 because I couldn't conceived the idea of a console lasting that short.  Got COD 4 MW and the rest is history. Faith was restored again for a playstation console. Later bought a second 360 years later but it never felt the same. The second half of xbox 360 life was kinda boring with the same franchises. halo, gears, forza and fable and repeat. Then the new generation came along and they tried to implement the DRM thing. At that moment I was happy that I stick with sony the prior gen. ps4 was a no brainer.

Nintendo: I haven't lost/regained any respect from them but the simple fact that most of their games don't appeal to me. I'm glad they are a competing company because the reality is that they have the ability to fill the need that maybe Sony and MS don't provide/provide in low quantities. This way there is something for everyone. Still, I can't justify to spend hundred of dollars for a couple of games that I might or might not enjoy.

Not make games anymore.

Pretty much this.

"Just for comparison Uncharted 4 was 20x bigger than Splatoon 2. This shows the huge difference between Sony's first-party games and Nintendo's first-party games."

The only one I even slightly respect is Nintendo and that's because out of the three, they stick to their guns no matter what. To me, that's admirable. The other two, I just buy because they have games I like to play. It's that simple.

I think the idea of making a huge company into something like a relative, where you are loyal blindly, and worship... it's silly. It's no different than those people who campaign for politicians because they believe said politician is actually a GOOD PERSON... when in fact, they're just another... politician.

You are loyally blind and worship your relatives? Oo

I think we all do that with our parents... until puberty anyway.

Implement DRM for physical copies of games to prevent re-sale and sharing. But I never respected MS anyway, so them trying to do that just confirmed I was right to not respect them in the first place.

Go completely digital with their consoles. I ain't buying a console the doesn't have the option of purchasing physical copies of games

If Sony, for example, continuously switched and baited gamers on most of their services, if they lie to gamers regularly on the console's failure rate, if their spokesperson are making fools of themselves (a la Aaron Greenberg), if they were abusive to developers... right then they'll lose all respect. It's not like I respect them 100% right now because they have made some mistakes, but they're on a good standing. Regarding Nintendo and Microsoft, I don't respect them.

Forcing me to go digital would be the only way. I'm not interested in a streaming-only or digital-only device. The day one or all three go this route, I just won't bother with it anymore.

The only thing that Nintendo could do to lose my respect is that they become third-party.

This.

I don't really respect any. I like some more than others but none have really earned my "respect". The first console to release a proper Dragon Quest game earns my respect
