i don't think anyone is describing this as "open" at least in the context of "open world".  clearly this is not open world.  i've seen the term "wide linear" thrown around,.. sometimes "branched path".  it's clearly more open than uncharted 1/2/3 which only ever had 1 path but clearly no where near as open as GTA.

I am resisting watching because I want to experience it when I'm actually polaying it. But then again, I will probably be focussing so much on not dying that maybe I won't get to appreciate its magnificence in real time. So conflicted.
