i don't think anyone is describing this as "open" at least in the context of "open world". clearly this is not open world. i've seen the term "wide linear" thrown around,.. sometimes "branched path". it's clearly more open than uncharted 1/2/3 which only ever had 1 path but clearly no where near as open as GTA.
