What everyone is failing to realize is this. If MS had some sort of deal in place before Bioware was picked up by EA, EA's hands are tied. EA would have to honor whatever contract Bioware and MS had in place before the purchase.

I get the feeling that someone would have mentioned something about exclusivity if that was the case.

I get the feeling that EA and/or Sony would have happily announced the ME is hitting PS3 if they weren't some sort of deal in place.

Hmm... Good point. Let's rock-scissors-paper this to see who's right.

Good for them; the first one has performed superbly and itself is a great game.

Τhe whole deal about the ""I believe we'll be Xbox 360 exclusive for at least a short period of time," exclusivity is the question whether the announced PC version hurts the 360 sales. But i don't think something like that happened with ME.
Still don't believe it will go multiplatform
It's really not up to Bioware anymore.....we will see when the time comes...
Doesn't really matter to me because I own all the consoles, but I think this will probably end up on the ps3--it is EA. I don't think he was necessarily talking about just pc. Time will tell, but I think this will only be a timed exclusive for the 360 with a port to the ps3 later on.

Here's the full article:
US, March 14, 2008 - Mass Effect 2, the second in a planned trilogy of sci-fi role-playing games from developer BioWare, will be exclusive to the Xbox 360, but possibly for a short time only, a company spokesman told the British gaming site CVG today.
Electronic Arts bought BioWare in January, prompting speculation that the next two installments in the Mass Effect trilogy would be multiplatform in one form or another.
"I believe we'll be Xbox 360 exclusive for at least a short period of time," BioWare senior manager Matt Atwood told CVG. "We're still working out the details on that, but we've had a great relationship with Microsoft and done very well."
Microsoft recently released the first round of downloadable content for the first Mass Effect, but the company hasn't said much about what form future installments will take on the Xbox 360.
"We have no announcements on future Mass Effect projects at this time," a microsoft spokesman told IGN. "Additional inquiries may be sent to Electronic Arts."
Atwood also said a PC version of Mass Effect 2 is also likely. "We haven't solidified the plans yet but we're headed in the direction where we want to be as close as possible [on PC]," he said.
