Forums - Politics Discussion - All we need is immigration reform

I'll be perfectly honest. I don't like obama as a president because I disagree with his policies and how he handles a congress that won't agree with him. Onto the main topic, I rather wait to do immigration reform until the next president.

Yeah, I'm all for people immigrating here but in the legal way. I agree that we need to make it easier for people to immigrate legally over here. It should be much cheaper and quicker to get in but they need to speak english decently and have no criminal record.  I don't think it's wise to reward legal status to illegal immigrants because they're evaded capture so far. That's a bit ass backwards. It sets the wrong precedent with 'em.

The illegals need to be deported back to their country so they can try the legal way or just stay there. A wall on the southern border needs to be built to handle the illegals crossing the border easily and to send a crystal clear message.

it's easy to come into the country the legal way versus nearly dying trying to illegally immigrate by crossing the border. We will not tolerate it any longer. If we catch you crossing the border illegally, we'll deport you swiftly back into your country on the farthest side of it from us. In other words, mexicans we'll be dropped off at mexico's southern border. haha

A wall between the US and Mexico is never going to happen that is nothing more then a right wing pipe dream.

Personally, I already think he's GOAT. In addition to that list, he supported gay marriage and struck down that "don't ask don't tell" nonsense, he's improving relations with Cuba, and his sanctions on Russia has Putin's balls in a vice. They should carve his face on Mt. Rushmore.

But I think there are three things, any of which would do, that would leave an even greater impression. Immigration reform (obviously), ending the death penalty, and legalizing marijuana.

Yeah, once he knew he didn't need to be reelected. This is not Obama's win. The Russia part though...I agree solely because I want to believe that Obama was in cahoots with the saudis to lower the price of oil just because the timing was so perfect.

Then you can kiss the US good-bye.

The US is nothing without white people.

I disagree with that since I'm not a pure white.  I don't think it's realistically possible.

I apologize for sounding rude, but the US was founded by whites for whites only, as backed up by exerpts from the Founding Fathers.

You can read letters written by Jefferson, Franklin, or any of the other Founding Fathers and they will all talk of how the US is for whites only and that its current system is only compatible with whites.

Yeah sure, I guess your totally forgetting about the millions of slaves that helped to build up the US and the rest of North and South America.  Some of them where even owned by some of the founding fathers.

Actually most of the low paying jobs that are cruial to keep this country running are done by Mexicans and other immigrant but since you don't live in the real world I wouldn't expect you to know that.

Again, you show your lack of reasoning abilities.

So just because a few Founding Fathers had slaves, they thought they should mingle with non-whites? What kind of twisted logic is that?

Jefferson: ”[4] He hoped slavery would be abolished some day, but “when freed, he [the Negro] is to be removed beyond the reach of mixture.”[5] Jefferson also expected whites eventually to displace all of the Indians of the New World. The United States, he wrote, was to be “the nest from which all America, North and South, is to be peopled,”[6] and the hemisphere was to be entirely European: “…

"Are not the fine mixtures of red and white, the expressions of every passion by greater or less suffusions of colour in the one [whites], preferable to that eternal monotony, which reigns in the countenances, that immovable veil of black, which covers all the emotions of the other race?"

Franklin: "[W]hy increase the Sons of Africa, by Planting them in America?”

Dickinson: "Where was there ever a confederacy of republics united as these states are…or, in which the people were so drawn together by religion, blood, language, manners, and customs?"

"a people descended from the same ancestors, speaking the same language, professing the same religion, attached to the same principles of government, very similar in their manners and customs.”

Right... So how did the US, with a 99% white population in the 20th century, survive without those Mexicans and immigrants doing those low-paying jobs?

Again, you speak unsubstantiated horsecrap.

Racially homogeneous populations with relatively high IQs are the most conducive for success.

Not really since Japan has more finacial problems then the US and as far as having a homogeneus population goes you can't get more homogeneous then Japan they hardly have any ethnic or racial minorities and very few immigrants.  As a matter of fact most countries that have a very homogeneous populations are screwed in the long run since they all have declining populations.

Why are they screwed if their population declines? Ever increasing populations and resource usage is unsustainable.

Robots can do more and more jobs, there won't be enough jobs for these ever increasing populations you are talking about - leading to more problems.

I get it you're a huge racist that is really nothing to be proud of but maybe it is in your world whatever makes you happy.

You are putting words in my mouth I never said that over population is a good thing either.
