In Reggie's defense, it's easy to anticipate that, lmao.

indeed would be like saying you predicted the gasoline to catch fire when you put the match to it....

Why not check me out on youtube and help me on the way to 2k subs over at www.youtube.com/stormcloudlive

People want an HD Metroid on Nintendo's HD console. In fact, there is a huge gaping hole in most people's Wii U experience because that game isn't there. This is nothing against Blast Ball/Federation because I am sure that those are going to be great games. Just please don't call it Metroid because it does not fill the void and it's like rubbing salt in the wound for fans.

I say that Nintendo should make Blast Ball and Federation Force a new IP and just run with it (it looks like a lot of fun). That said, until Nintendo is ready to take the Metroid franchise seriously again and announce a core entry in the series they shouldn't be teasing Nintendo fans with this sort of thing.

Is worst to not know or to know and do it anyway?

If you know then plan the best way to show and avoid bash.

Yup, because Reggie is always the victim. Cmon man?!

PC GAMING: BEST GAMES. WORST CONTROLS

A mouse & keyboard are made for sending email and typing internet badassery. Not for playing video games!!!

they could still present Federation Force. but they should have a 30 second trailer for a metroid game in 3 years time or so. like how World of Final Fantasy then FF VII remake is presented....

So people would prefer nintendo to not try something new, even if it's in the same universe. People would have criticised them for just making "another metroid", "No new Ideas/ips" ect.
See how the game is first, I think It could be quite fun

For those who did not click the link, here's the entirety of the quote:

"In terms of opportunities for improvement… there are games where you need to have hands-on time to really appreciate. Certainly, Metroid Prime: Federation Force is one of those types of games. We anticipated that consumers would say “Where’s Samus?” and “Where’s my traditional Metroid Prime game?” We anticipated that. As I walked the floor and talked to people who were playing Blast Ball, they’re loving it. They’re excited about it, they’re excited about the controls. One of our challenges at Nintendo, always, is how do we communicate the charm and appeal of a game to people who don’t get a chance to play it? It’s always a challenge. I say with Federation Force, we may have fallen a little short in communicating what the charm is of that game. Good news: we’ll have lots of other opportunities to address that and get people to experience it hands-on. We think they’re gonna come away in the end feeling like it’s a lot of fun."

What he's saying is 'give the game a chance'. I agree, give the game a chance. Every game deserves a chance.

Hope to see you saying it to all games bashed here in vgc.

Poor Federation Force. No matter how good the game turns out, it will be ripped to shreds because it has the Prime title.

You know it deserves the GOTY.

Nintendo and the need to make new IP using old names or skins for marketing reasons. Sometimes it backfires.
