you get to design your own mario game. MARIO game. your own. you get to design it! how is it NOT worth full retail price??

Game prices are decided based on efforts and the money spent to develop that. Nintendo is always greed and uses their IP''s strengths to charge more from gamers to the content thats not worth in efforts.

Nope, game prices are determined by what people are willing to pay for the content offered.

The game will have 100 pretty made levels to beat. That might not be story mode, but it should be fun.

Ask stefl1504 for a sig, even if you don't need one.

You could argue that the effort put into their games are the reason why their IPs are strong... Nintendo is greedy? So is every other company by that logic.

Current gaming platforms - Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Wii U, New 3DS, PC

Yes, it is $60. And they're not greedy, you're just making up excuses to justify your dislike of the game, because YOU KNOW it'll be better received sales wise, and critically wise than LBP3.

You get the game in a neat box, an art book, 100 levels and the editor. I think that's fine. Between Splatoon, Mario Maker and the NX announcement the number of harsh comments saying Nintendo sucks has increased dramatically. I take that as a positive sign: It reminds me of the Wii days.

Asking AAA game price for 2D level creator game with resused assets ? Did they spend $10 -15 + milion dollars to make this game ?

Yeah, if only it would be as simple as that

Will people say Sony copied Nintendo on this as well?

Four styles is more like 4 skin packs.

There have been Mario level editors online years before LBP existed. And seeing as the Nintendo-made levels look like rom hacks sometimes it's safe to say they were inspired by those unofficial rom hacks instead.

We can always find a way to say sony copied nintendo.

Making 100 levels is easy as pie. Making 100 good levels on the other hand...

Good levels? Lets see how good they are compard to community levels once its released. Anyone with creative ideas and if did spend some time on that game to get used can make easily good 100 levels. There are many creative people in gamers who does great job in community user genrated content in many games.

I'm sorry, I've seen a lot of funky arguments here, but claiming that a Mario game won't have excellent level design? You literally cannot be serious.

Four styles is more like 4 skin packs.

The physics, powerups, and abilities all vary between the four versions though. You can't do a wall jumping stage unless it's the NSMB mode, for example. An all flying stage is also impossible for the original or NSMB modes, or a kuribo's shoe stage in anything besides Mario 3, etc. The styles are more than merely skins.

Care to explain that would be hard to implement?

It's like saying it's okay for Microsoft to charge 200 for Rare Replay since there is 30 games with very different gameplay.

Curiously enough it was mostly Nintendo fans that have made the threads bashing Nintendo.
