I'd only buy a 2D Zelda maker tbh, but that's "too hard" for Nintendo.

And it needs an overworld with pre-determined spots to add dungeons/temples. And good graphics.

like RPG Maker but totally updated... I don't think Nintendo would have an unsurmountable task making it.

I was refering to an interview of the makers of Super Mario Makers where they said a Zelda Maker would be too hard. Hence the quotation marks.

If done right, I'd be super hyped for such a game.

Probably would be harder than Mario... the very original games would show Zelda take longer to be made and are very complex... imagine trying to do a level creator for Uncharted? Very crazy... it however don't define which would be funnier or better...

But yes a rpg maker to compete with an original zelda would be something really fantastic and special.

Mr Puggsly: "Hehe, I said good profit. You said big profit. Frankly, not losing money is what I meant by good. Don't get hung up on semantics"

Azzanation: "PS5 wouldn't sold out at launch without scalpers."

Yeah, for example, more people would prefer to play Super Mario Maker over LBP, despite LBP being more complex. Nostalgia is one of the reasons (better physics another imo).

LBP is a good idea that is never really as fun as you want it to be. It's floaty nature just makes it feel weird. I love the game and the things you can do but it is still more novel than anything else. And they released that kart game but does anyone still play that compared to Mario kart 8. I like what I have seen of Mario maker and will pay full price for it.

Taste would be another... I personally preffer to play 2D Mario than LBP.

Your question is like asking if people still play Goldeneye 64 compared to CoD, mas 0 sense.

60 dollars for a "cinematic" 6-hour experience, perfectly fine.
60 dollars for a game with a potential of hundreds of hours of great fun, a chance to be creative and share your creations, be a part of a game that most likely will create sweet communities and share amazing ideas - OUTRAGEOUS! THIS GAME SHOULD BE FREE!

"This game feels cheap" "feels like a DLC-game" "feels like an indie-title" "feels like 2 people did this over a weekend, 5 dollars max". Splatoon got the same stuff.

Why is this? Where does it come from? Why are people so obsessed over devaluing Nintendo games?

And the obvious follow-up, that NO ONE seem to realize: Why isn't the Witcher 3 200 dollars? Why was Destiny so crazy "cheap"? What about GTAV? Should that have been 500 dollars or something? How do you come up with these weird ideas about how much a game is "allowed" to cost?
Should Blizzard say, when Overwatch releases, "Well guys, we spent 15 years and billions of dollars on this. You know how it is, we at Blizzard are crazy rich and can experiment and polish forever. However, since the game was such an investment, we are now asking for 1000 dollars / copy. You don't mind, right?"

Going away from the 60 dollar model could absolutely be a good thing. Setting prices based on feelings? Wtf?
Developers gotta' eat! Look at what you're GETTING for the price you put in. Think the price is bad? Don't buy it.
People are so happy to spend far beyond the 60 dollar mark with DLC and micro-transactions, and yet, all of a sudden, a game is trash because it costs more than 10 dollars.

Make up your god damn minds!

LOL, he knows that's what the question sounds like. That's exactly his point

My thread for teaching VGC some Nigerian slangs

I would have liked to have seen some sort of story mode and wish the 3d graphics looked better... But it does come with 100 levels created by designers and mario never has that deep of a story anyway so it's a minor gripe.
