They probably wont outsell the wii but sony could still outproduce nintendo. Their PSnow servers are basicly ps3 consoles, there are 10 ps3s on the motherboard.
They just need to produce 1.5 million motherboards to be first.

And since the Wii was just two GameCubes duct-taped together that means Nintendo crushed the PS2 after all.

You shouldn't compare to PS2 because 1: PS2 had a better library and 2: PS3 didn't soar at launch like PS4, thus many were still buying a PS2 rather than the new console.


The PS3 still sold 3.1M last fiscal year despite the high price.

But this makes nintendo having no consoles at all last gen? Thats not how it works, the server are adding hardware sales not changing.

If x360 gets disscountinued and PS3 sells for a little longer it will make it past 90m. With a big price cut 100m miggt have been possible but the hardware doesn't allow for that.

Well there's plenty of people claiming either the 360 or PS3 won last gen, now we finally have the reason why!

Too late they should had do a price cut a long time ago



PS4 - over 100 millions let's say 120m
Xbox One - 70m
Wii U - 25m

Vita - 15m if it will not get Final Fantasy Kingdoms Heart and Monster Hunter 20m otherwise
3DS - 80m

The 7th generation is not over. Wii, PS3, and 360 consoles are still being sold. I still game on PS3, and new games are still coming to PS3/360. Major 3rd party games, in fact. 

Worldwide is what counts, not just America. The order of console sales are as follows: Wii, PS3, 360. 360 is the loser of the 7th generation at this point. I think it will stay that way. 

Europe has a similar market for console sales. Asia makes up a sizable percentage as well. I'm an American myself, but the game business is made up of many countries. Europe and Asia outweigh America, I think. Then there is the Middle East, Africa, and Australia.

Yeah I don't really think so, the time for that has moved on. The most I would expect at this point is around 90.
