I'm in the same boat.

Then again, Tropical Freeze was a 2014 game, so Yoshi doesn't have to beat it to be the best platformer of the year. :P

Taking a look at the poll.... All of them :D (aside from the obvious Zelda title).

I'm gonna say Mario Maker.

Xenoblade Chronicles X, Shin Megami Tensai x Fire Emblem, Zelda.

Definitely ZeldaU. I'm also pretty exited for XCX, the original was excellent, but it's for ZeldaU that i'll be buying a WiiU.

Right now, Yoshi's Woolly World. It helps that it's coming out in Australia in, like, four days. But seriously, it's basically a hybrid of Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island, and Kirby's Epic Yarn. Two of the best platformers of all time imo.

(Also, I love DKC:TF to bits, but I honestly think YWW could rival it as a standout platformer for this generation of consoles.)

Aside from that, Xenoblade Chronicles X and Genei Ibun Roku #FE. Also Super Mario Maker, Fatal Frame V, Zelda and Devil's Third (just because it looks nice and weird).
