Kingdom Hearts went on PS2 because that's where the largest casual gaming audience was. There wasn't one last generation.

PS4 is the obvious choice for this title for reasons similar to the PS2.

Im curios how Kingdom hearts will evolve if NX is really this fusion thing.
At the moent KH is handheld nintendo exclusive but was home console sony exclusive (micfrosoft probl gave alot money to SE for FF15, Kh3 and tomb raider rimed exclusive).

But if handheld=home console for nintendo that could chance alot.

I also think a nintendo exclusive KH featuring Nintendos IP would be great.
FF x Disney X Nintendo.
