Seems legit.
Reggie needs to just stop talking to the press for like a week or so.... seriously...
it would probably be better than him trying "fix" things and then stuff like this comes out.
When Nintendo screws up, they screw up really bad. This "wonderful footage" could have made the digital event much better.
Reggie, here's a rule of thumb for you: Is your game at max 1.5 years away from launch? Then you can show it at E3 without anybody getting disappointed.
That rule is kind of being made invalid if the game announcement is huge, FF VII Remake breaks several rules for me personally for instance (entirely CG and won't release until late 2017 at the earliest), but I still can't help getting ridiculously excited because of that announcement.

If it is as wonderful as he said, it would have saved the entire event.
I really like Reggie, but seriously.. he has been anoying over the past week.

You liked him before?
Reggie is a great comic relief character, he's sort of Nintendo's Village Idiot, and I don't have any problems with him as long as he sticks to his role. Problem is that he's totally incompetent when it comes to defending a struggling company or platform and Nintendo insists on letting him talk to the media, which is why we get situations like this one.
Nintendo should re-hire Cammie, she's the only one that can save this company.
