Forums - Gaming - Crystal Dynamics “sympathizes” with Tomb Raider fans on “other platforms"

Crystal Dynamic creative director Noah Hughes took a numbers of fan questions on the Rise of the Tomb Raider forums about the game releasing on “other platforms.”
When questioned about a future version of Rise of the Tomb Raider including “all the DLC” and releasing on “other platforms.” Noah stated:
“Unfortunately, I still can’t announce anything as it relates to other platforms, but I understand the question and I sympathize with the situation.”

However, when asked about the return of dual pistols in Rise of the Tomb Raider, Noah didn’t want to spoil anything.
“Ah, the dual pistols…I think it’s fair to say it’s probably a bit spoilery to get into it one way or another. But we do recognize the anticipation for Lara and everything people love about her as an icon so we are trying to bring back some of those things people love but you’ll have to wait and see what they are.”

so basically this is the transilation : "we are sorry for being money whores"

Of course he still cannot announce, he is being paid to keep his mouth shut until November. I am sure we will get a PS4 release date announcement sometime in early December.

that its coming to other platforms? i mean... crystal dynamics and square enix said we can expect the game on PC and PS4. phil spencer said it was timed. and industry known insiders who have been right many many times before said we can expect it on PS4. if that doesnt give you hope... not sure why this does.

Actually the other platform is more than likely pc. Phil him self has said the deal with tomb raider is like ryse and dead rising 3, xbox one 1st and later pc. Sure it could still come to ps4 but if it does u wont hear about it till I say march at least, to give the xbox one version enough time to sell.

I know there are more indication that it's coming to ps4 than the quote, I'm just using the quote to reinforce the idea that ps4 isn't out of the equation.  I have a feeling there will be news after the holidays.

They can take their time keeping the game off 50% and rising of the home console market. Studio is gonna be around for a loooong time with SE running them like that. /s

I thought since Microsoft is publishing this game (publishers fund games) this can't show up on ps4 unless they remake the game kind of like Ninja Gaiden 2 or Dead Rising . Phil said he won't fund games if it just going to show up on another platform.
