Did I say that my title is the summarization of my entire post? Also you couldn't be more wrong I own a Gamecube and I like it alot. Again, where did I say that the GCN is the worst? I was comparing the Wii U with other consoles by Nintendo to show how it stacked up. I was actually defending the Gamecube when someone was attaking it.

We'll myself and other gamers have mostly been gaming since PSOne days. I can only recall the PSone and the N64-I bet alot of kids think the same way. When people think console wars they think Nintedo vs Sega-that is why Sega is included. Look at the front page of Vgchartz do you see Ouya's name on it? No you see PS4, Xbox one and Wii U. When I was making my title I thought of two distictions big manufacters and contemporary consoles. Within that set I think that the Wii U is the worst console. 

 

Well, kiddo, a lot of the VGChartz userbase was gaming back when Nintendo was still making RadarScope and Sega was a non-entity. You can't simply discount half of video game history just because you weren't alive to see it. "All time" for video games goes back about 64 years. There was a pretty lively gaming scene going on before Super Mario Bros. came out in 1985.  Video games have a history that dates back to at least 1951, but if you want to discount Ralph Baer's early rudimentary work on gaming, we can say that gaming as we know it started in 1971-72. To discount half the history of gaming just because you can't see beyond your own nose is incredibly short-sighted, and it's why so many people in here are laughing at the thread.

And as for those "non-serious" consoles, Philips (which actually made one of the first ever home consoles, the Odyssey, back in the mid-70s), Panasonic, Goldstar, and Commodore didn't invest millions in console R&D because they had money that they had to burn. 3DO probably had more money invested in its development than any console Sega ever made, whatever the final outcome was.

Wii U is nowhere near the worst console of "all time". Now if you want to say it's the worst console Nintendo ever made, that's a valid point of debate, but even that is largely a matter of opinion, and that's if you discount the Virtual Boy.

So sure, the Wii U is the worst console of "all time"... once you disqualify all of the video game consoles that were actually worse than the Wii U on one basis or another. But at this point, you're not just moving the goalposts, you're running around the field carrying them on your back and challenging everybody else in this thread to a game of tag.

Uncomfortable? No, not the least bit. I just find this thread pointless at this point. Wii U is not the worst console of all time by far. Not even close. You won't change your mind on it... So what? Who cares? Just becasue you say it doesn't make it true. It just shows how ridiculous this thread has been. 

 

Sunshine? Mario Sunshine was trash. The only mario game I never bothered to beat. I loved the gamecube for its library as well, I love my Wii U even more.

Something tells me you don't even own a Wii U. Do you own the console?

Edit: If you're going to go by opinions posted in your own thread, there are far more that agree with me. Most don't think it was the worst console. Are you going to ignore every one that doesn't share your opinion?

How am I ignoring my critics? I am actually answering to them. A a poster above mentioned the Gamecube had Baten Kaitos and Tales of Symphonia for anyone who wanted to bring up Bayonetta. He is actually comparing the library unlike you and other people who simply rely on attacks against me or my thread. Who says I won't change my mind? How are you making this assumption? I am pretty open minded, if you or someone else proves that the Vita(or other consoles within the big 4) is inferior to the Wii U I would accept that. Yet only one person has brought up the Vita and I thought he had a decent point. (I answered to this person instead of ignoring him.) Also it's irrelevant if I own the console or not as I could evaluate a product simply by searching for its library and the quality of its games. Unlike you I don't have highly subjective opinions of games to even qualify a game as "thrash"based on your own limited perspective. I have informed views on games- just check metacritic and see how some critics are calling Mario Sunshine a 'masterpiece' and how it has it a overall 92 rating.

The Virtual Boy probably doesn't count because the OP never played one, hence the Wii U is still the worst console of ALL TIME.


At this point, this thread is as meme-worthy for VGC as "globally in the USA". :)

I have the game, I still have my Gamecube. I don't need anyone else to tell me about sunshine, I know first hand. I didn't like it. 

My previous post says exactly why it's a better console. I gave several reasons as to why Wii U is better than gamecube and most of all, not the worst console of all time. Not owning the console and saying it's the worst of all time is exactly trashing the console based on your own limited perspective. The irony, geez. 

I, as others answered to your original post. Which doesn't sound as "informed" as you think it is. You gave poor reasons with your "limited perspective" in my opinion, and I already answered to all of them. 

I have both consoles, and frankly I thought the Wii was worse. The only thing it was good for was Wii Sports. I stopped playing it within the first year, and so did many of my friends. We moved on to Playstation and Xbox.

Edit: I just realized why they compare your post to "globally in the USA". LOL!

Thank you for accepting "the Wii u is the worst console of all time" when actually considering the boundaries i created it and explained it a million times(Sega, Sony, Nintendo and Xbox.) Maybe next time you don't need to throw tantrums by calling me 'kiddo' or keep on bringing your 'goal post' metaphor. (I got it once)You pretty much hide behind the title and were unable to move beyond it even if I clarified it tons of times. Instead, you kept on complaing about the same thing over and over again and then trying to make fun of me based on ignoring what I said.

If you read the OP I said I wanted to be "realistic and objective" in regards to judging the Wii U. I don't see any evidence you have provide at all  besides your personal opinion "Mario Kart 8 is arguably the best...etc"or "X games are all wonderful." According to who? To yourself. While I did say that the was only  0.1 difference between MKDD and MK8 according to metacritic. I don't know if i should take you and San Andreas X seriously if you only rely on Ad Hominen attacks to try to discredit myself and my thread.

Calling Wii U the worst console of all time, is indeed trashing the console. I didn't put those words into your mouth, their in your title. In you OP, you expressed why you thought it was the worst console, did you not? I didn't put any of that in your mouth sir.

 You are also missing the part of the title where I said "Is" and "?" meaning that i was asking a question for others to debate. I also compared it to other nintendo consoles to see how it stacked up. Why should you take me seriously? Does a film critic needs to make a film in order to review it? Do I need to play every single Wii U game in order to have an opinion on them? I am basing myself on the articles and information I read from professional reviewers.

How wasn't I realistic and objective? I listened to what everyone was saying and I do believe they are correct that the Jaguar or CD-I are worst than the Wii U. What I was criticizing was that I thought that within the boundaries I established consoles created by Microsoft, Sony, Nintendo and Sega the Wii U was the worst. Yet, either people agreed with me or they simply decided not to defend their case.

PS(Off-topic): I hope you get a less realistic looking Mario avatar. It's difficult to look at.
