So it looks like people are acting on their hate for having Metroid Prime tacked on to Federation Force.

There's a petition started to have this game canceled and it's already over 8K signatures.

Seems like a bit much to me, I wouldn't want to see it canceled. But with the petition it will show the extreme displeasure of not giving us a real Metroid experience. Also, the youtube trailer is sitting at 90% dislikes :O.

The game certainly doesn't look exciting from what I've seen, though it could honestly be very fun to play.
The excitement of seeing Metroid pop on the screen then to be shown this really was just plain cruel.

I'd rather have nothing at all than something I haven't played yet or even know anything about.. excellent logic right there.

The funny this is for the last few years I've seen people asking for a Metroid game that let's u play as the Galactic Federation, now we have one and everybody cries about it.

Because cancelling this game will make Metroid Prime 4 pop up out of thin air. Great thinking there, lads. -_-

This retarded. So it's not a 'proper' metroid game, doesn't mean this can't be a decent game. Should we also petition against the new Pokemon Mystery dungeon game, Triforce heroes, SMTxFE? Was Mario Kart a bad idea? I don't see the problem with trying a spinoff, people are overreacting immensly and fuel each other in their hate. Don't like it, don't buy it. Post about it on forums if you want. This is just dumb.

Besides, even though I would have liked a 'proper' metroid game I don't blame them for trying something new. It's not like Metroid is a high selling franchise.

Agreed haha. The game might not be great but it won't change anything. I think Nintendo probably got the hint about how we want Metroid with the 90% dislike ratio on Youtube anyway.
