I don't know if the situation for PS1 games was the same. Do you have any sources for this? Why was the list short? Where did they say that pubs had to allow this? Where is the info they actively didn't support it? Btw, with PSOne Classics the money went to Sony first. Here no money goes to MS, it goes straight to the publishers like sales do when you buy for 360 (well, actually you buy them on/for 360 ;)).

And no, there is no "resubmit", it's just an "allow". If it will be the minority of the library we will see. We are not talking about a 2 gen difference here but only one gen where you can expect more sales than with games over 10 years old, especially considering these games get sequels on the next-gen system able to emulate the old games. They can even make bundles like with Fallout.

But yes, hopefully they get the majority of *all* titles.

Especially considering how good it works:

What are you MS arent taking there 30% cut from sales through there store, somehow the store is linked direclty to the publishers bank accounts?

I am saying the pubs get exactly the same money they do now because in the end it is the same sales interface, there is no differentiation.

You need to put your Xbox 360 saves on the cloud if you want to use them on X1.

fuckkk idk how I will do that. If I can get my 360 somehow up and running so I can upload my Alan Wake, Saints Row IV, and Tales of Vesperia saves to the cloud xD

got no real life friends with a 360? :(

I used to :( Now I have no friends

There was a thread a couple of months ago asking if BC was a big deal. A lot of people said it wasn't. A lot of people said it was. I'm going to find it to see how many have changed their tune.

What do you mean the ps1 classic money went to sony first, ps one classics sales were no differnt to any other game sales, platform holder takes 30% the rest goes to publisher.

ITs the same process for both, neither sony or MS can just put up old games for sale, they need the publisher to say they want them up there first. For digital games this will be less of an issue as there still for sale on 360, but for disk games, the publishers will need to set there price check for any licensing issues(this was the biggest issue on ps1 games) and also decide if they really want to give away the chance of a HD remake in the future.

Well, we have to consider that a couple of months ago people thought it would never be possible and so the opinions for many users are "I won't get it so it's not important for me" but it would still be interesting.

I like the concept of the Xbox One BC with the 360, but I'm worried about its execution. I have a few of the big titles that were released and it's inevitable that they will be supported, but what about the smaller, niche titles? What about the titles whose licenses or developers are no longer valid? I can say with certainty I will be able to play a Bioshock or a Halo or a Gears or a Mass Effect on the Xbox One, but will I be able to play a Akai Katana, a Deathsmiles, a Binary Domain, a Tales of Vesperia, or an Magna Carta 2? Will the publishers even bother?

Up vote them. I did for some of those titles you mentioned, when I did it yesterday. You'd be surprised how many votes they've been getting.

Sony sold games that weren't sold anymore officially. I don't know how much money goes to publishers in any way, do you have a link for 30%? But again, it is totally different, as you can see in my first sentence.

And there are still answers missing for the questions I asked in the reply at the beginning of this discussion.

Either way, the talk is useless as this turns out to be a defending discussion instead of a technical discussion and I am not interested in that, at least not really. In my opinion, publishers will allow this more than many people think and I already explained why. If it turns out to be false, so be it.

Thanks for the link. Man, they only have a couple hundred votes. :(

Completely useless. I have a PS3 and I have not turned it on since november 2013.
Also too few games available.

it is at least a bigger deal than some game announcements from the scale of games like the last guardian, shenmue 3 or ff7 rmk
