Forums - Nintendo - Nintendo finally abandoning wii u? * Edit* more evidence Nintendo moved the games for NX

it seems they spread out their good titles through 2015 and 2016. Since they didn't mention Fatal Frame V and Devil's Third, it may move to 2016 with Zelda U as part of last year's main console support. poor wii u.

"Coming this Fall"

THIS E3 WAS FOR THE 3DS GAMES OF 2015 AND 2016. WII U HAD ABOUT 20 % COVERAGE OF NEW GOOD LOOKING GAMES. NINTENDO FAILED IN SHOWING REASONS TO BUY A WII U... IT SHOWED REASONS WHY WE SHOULD BUY A 3DS!!!!!!!!!

yeah on a previous Nintendo Direct it was mentioned fall, same with Devil's Third.  so why not mention the exact release date on E3 where Nintendo really don't have big surprises. which is odd.

All games mentioned on the Wii U so far are already announced and in development. There is nothing new. I am willing to bet that Devils Third will be postponed. The Wii U is dead. No resources are being put into developing anything unannounced.

This E3 will be 3DS heavy.

Nintendo have their hands full with the new mobile gaming announced and the NX. The Wii U is a dead horse that is not worth flogging. Just shoot it, buy a new horse and hope for better.

At least there is a chance for success with the new console if it is well thought out, there is no chance for success with the Wii U.

This is an E3 trailer, just wasn't at the Nintendo Direct for some reason. I assume they don't know the exact date yet, because the localization hasn't been finished.

I've been telling you guys this is pretty much exactly what would happen for months now, but nobody wanted to hear it.

They weren't going to give the Wii U an Animal Crossing, not a real one, for example when they could save it for the NX.

From a business P.O.V. I understand it. Not saying I agree with it, but people really thought they were going to invest a new 3D Mario, a new Metroid, a new Animal Crossing, and not Twilight Princess Zelda in the back cycle of a system selling this poorly? C'mon guys.

Well, if there's something I get outof this is that the NX will have all of Nintendo's support from the beginning. Nothing really new for either of their consoles. I'm so dissapointed.

You would think but remember the last few years of the Wii-  when Nintendo released next to nothing-  I remember thinking they would surely have a ton for the Wii U launch/early lifespan due to how little they worked on the wii at the end-  And we all know how unbeleiveably little Nintenod had for the Wii U.  They talked a big game at last years e3 but did not follow thru which was no surprise

I do not beleive Nintendo or any other console maker can be succesful with out at least a moderate amount of 3rd party support

Hey! I've been telling that too! Even insulted because of saying the harsh truth.
