Unfortunately yes, but I believe Microsoft said they just need to get permission/approval from publishers of those games. Otherwise, most should work.

Which they should get because publishers can't be too stupid to deny Xbox gamers playing the games they bought, simply because they are from a previous console.

But then, I wouldn't be surprised if some publishers don't want 360 players to use their 360 games in an Xbone if they have a remastered of said game planned, to kind of make them go and buy it again.

If that would be the case then these publishers deserve fans reselling their games, publishers would be giving the message that there is no long term value in keeping your old games.

Looking at E3 now. I missed it earlier. People were worried that ea wouldn't give consent for BC. Looks like they are not only supporting it, they're giving away FREE games with the purchase of the latest version. They keep saying "thanks to Xbox One backwards compatibility'. The future seems bright.

No reprogramming for developers and no rebuying for owners of the games.  Gamestop should be loving this...

Ha ha ha, perhapse that's why the greeted the Xbox One with such hate and distain?



 

Really not sure I see any point of Consol over PC's since Kinect, Wii and other alternative ways to play have been abandoned.

I'm not really impressed especially since most of those games are on PC/Playstation and/or remastered on Xbox One (the rare games and Halo)

 

I'm hoping for Tales of Vesperia, Saints Row 1, Lost Odyssey, Blue Dragon, Infinite Undiscovery (I want it) and a few other games.

Just to verify, the current 18 games is for preview members only. BC isn't actually available until this holiday when a hundred titles will be available. Correct?
