Forums - Microsoft - Kotaku: Rare HD collection coming to X1

http://kotaku.com/we-hear-theres-a-rare-collection-coming-to-xbox-one-1690794030

For months now we’ve been chasing down a rumor that Microsoft plans to release a collection of Rare games for Xbox One this summer to mark the storied company’s 30th anniversary. Today, a Kotaku reader sent over a retail image that seems to corroborate this rumor.

GameStop is listing an entry for something called “RareReplay,” which may be the branding for Microsoft’s collection.

What we’ve heard is that the collection could feature up to 30 games including beloved Rare classics like Battletoads (NES), Jet Force Gemini (N64), and Banjo Kazooie (N64), according to a person who requested anonymity because they were not authorized to speak publicly about the upcoming game. It’s unlikely we’ll see old Rare games whose licenses are owned by other companies—don’t expect Donkey Kong Country or Goldeneye here—but other names mentioned by various sources include Kameo (360), Perfect Dark (N64/360), and Blast Corps(N64), which will come as pleasant news to anyone looking for a way to replay those old games on modern systems.

Don't have long to find out if true or not

Jet force Gemini! Please let it be true. I'll love Microsoft forever

this is the hd remaster gen.
but if the next gen finally has backwards compatibiliy and you can take over your digital libary (if ms doesn't do that, they will loose again against sony) im totally fine with this...

I hope it includes Banjo Kazooie, Banjo Tooie, Conker and Kameo.

Yes, please include Kameo in 1080p!

I seriously doubt the modern RARE can pull off sequels to the old RARE games and do them well, so it only makes sense that they just enhance the visuals of the old games. This would be an INCREDIBLY smart move for them (now I'm even interested in watching Microsoft's conference). The thought of a remastered Banjo Kazooie (or 2) instead of a brand new game (which would probably not be very good) is far more appealing to me. However, I'm a PC and Wii U owner and I think I've moved on to Yooka Laylee as that will be on Wii U and looks amazing.

Would rather have a new game.... but I guess it wouldn't be a bad start, especially knowing they have more projects to be shown such as Gamescom.

i hope it includes perfect dark zero. I dont get why the title got so much hate, it was the game i enjoyed the most on the 360 after it RRoD in a month.

If it includes Conker I'll be buying it.

Because it was a bland origin story, and wasn't even close to eing as good as the original. Timesplitters was much better as a successor.

Bet with Xander XT:

I can beat more games on his 3DS than he can on my PSVita in a month. Loser has to buy the winner a game on his/her handheld Guess who won? http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/thread.php?id=193531
