Forums - Gaming - Lawsuit Against Bandai Namco Claims Anti-American Racism

“In 2013, Bandai’s former CEO, Matsuo Masayaka, told Le, “All you Americans are so stupid and don’t know how to run a business”; “If I could I would fire all the Americans”; and “Japan should have bombed Pearl Harbor again,” the suit alleges.

damn!!! what the fuck Bandai!? and he was the CEO!? that alone should prove that probably the whole workplace was hell for any non-japanese employee

and yet I will still buy Tales of Zestiria and Berseria......I'm sorry

And this is one of the reasons some parts of the world don't like americans or can't take them seriously. I bet he's just wants some easy money.

If this is true then how is he at fault?

Americans are sometimes known for being a little overzealous with their suing or their entitlement with everything. I eventually want to travel the world and experience everything. It's more difficult to do that when everyone thinks you're gonna sue 'em.

It's a fair point (believe me, as an American, we are an extremely litigious country), but this man clearly isn't traveling the world, and at least on face value, his actions do seem to have merit.

It's 50/50 whether he's right in suing or he's fishing for easy money. I generally side against whoever is suing some company or someone in america for money. Too many americans are starting to just sue others over anything no matter if they're in the right or not.

Al Shapton's daughter is trying to sue a city over her ankle/leg getting hurt on a cracked sidewalk and the next weekend she's posting pics on social media of her mountain climbing.

Not sure justice is served if we simply assume any lawsuit brought forth by an American is simply false, otherwise, I think Baltimore and Ferguson Missouri might be in a sticky situation.  More likely, cases should be analyzed in a case by case basis (as is the norm).  Frivilous lawsuits will always be an issue when people have the rights they do in America (people abuse all systems, we know this.  Cops are too aggressive, military can violate rules of engagement or engage in horrific things, lawyers, banks, insurance, employers, hospitals etc....., this doesn't mean they're all bad, or all innocent.  Just that there are some people out there willing to try to abuse the system for gain.  Ignoring all lawsuits, would solve nothing.

and when american became a race?

That's uh, kinda harsh, don't you think?

Harsh, and a quite a bit stupid.  How many Japanese companies are doing what Apple and Microsoft are doing?  The answer for that is 0.  As of October 2014, of the 20 most profitable companies in the world, companies from the US held the 19th, 16th, 15th, 12th, 11th, 10th (Microsoft), 5th and 2nd (Apple) spots.  A Company from Japan holds the 17th, and it's not Namco Bandai (It's Toyota)

Wow, that is unbelievable. If true, I imagine Bamco will cut a deal out of court. But damn, that's messed up if true

Like all the american companies that have all their position of power dominated by american guys... so much discrimination that people usually make small groups where they fell more comfortable.
