If this is the implementation I have zero interest in it and really don't get what they were thinking.

When you play on VR, your brain think that it's real. As a human, our brain is trained to detect anomalies in the enviroment. A weird movement in your peripherical vision (during the prehistoric era) could mean a predator. So our brain doesn't like to be tricked. That's why VR demands high framerate and a low persistence display. As you move your head, you brain "checks" the movement data that your eyed provide with the orientation that your labyrinth returns. If it doesn't fits, you get sick. Now inside a car playing a VR game you will receive information about accelerations in your labyrinth that won't fit what your eyes are seeing. That's bad, pretty bad. These things won't be aligned and you will be sick pretty bad. You can try if you wish and share the results here after you finish washing you car and your clothes :D |
But it's not true VR, we are watching a TV in a VR room. Also, people that feel motion and bumps in cars have baby cars. When you are in a good ride with a good driver, it's like the equivalent of a hot air balloon ride.
Looks terrible. Not sure why you would simulate a TV room.

They been like this since the reception of the drm fiasco. Some may choose to think they are listneing to consumers, in a way they are, but they are listening when they say why does the competition have this and we dont? and like you say, the competition still does it better. Maybe cuz their device was not build for it, while the competition was build to suporrt it from day one.
It takes genuine talent to see greatness in yourself despite your absence of genuine talent.

Thats the problem in just following along.. when you see others do something. Your behinde from the get go.
It also means yours product usually ends up worse, than the competitors.
The question is if sony was able to plan ahead for VR and design their PS4 around it..... why didnt Xbox do the same?

You seem to have ignored my question, so I'll ask it again.
How is this any different than dreaming while in a car. I don't know where you are getting this ridiculous concept that you will get sick.
Money can't buy happiness. Just video games, which make me happy.
