Forums - Gaming - MGSV Has Microtransactions

The Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain’s pre-order on the PlayStation Store has revealed that the latest Hideo Kojima’s game has optional in-game microtransactions.

As you can see by yourself in the image below, the italian page says “Acquisti in-game opzionali”, that in english stands for “Optional in-game purchases”.

We don’t have any clue about the nature of the microtransactions, but we will update this story as it follows. So stay tuned for more!

Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain will be available on 1st September for PS4, PS3, Xbox One and Xbox 360 and on 15th September for PC (only via Steam).

Don't worry no one will blame Kojima and everyone will blame Konami (Those who have negative opinion of optional paid DLC). After all he is a genius.

Hmm. I'll wait til it's known exactly in what ways they have microtransactions in there before give an opinion on that. I hope that whoever gets the game enjoys it though. I don't really play any MGS games anymore.

Ugh, Konami pls.

"Just for comparison Uncharted 4 was 20x bigger than Splatoon 2. This shows the huge difference between Sony's first-party games and Nintendo's first-party games."

A Hideo Kojima Microtransaction.

Sigs are dumb. And so are you!

Please be useless shit.

So do we think this is for the MGSV section of the game or the MGO section?? Coz honestly wouldnt surprise me 1 bit if MGO had microtransactions, its becoming a rather common practice these days.

Not every in-game purchase is a microtransaction.

Oh no

Terrible practice that must not be supported.
