Why would a platinum developer say their game announcement is going to make people cry because of exclusivity? I think he's talking about crying tears of joy, that makes way more sense.

Might still be exclusive though.

Platinum would collaborate with Capcom in a heartbeat if they were offered the opportunity to return to one of their classic IP. Pretty sure Kamiya has admitted as much in the past, in a rare instance of him being sincere. Yeah, this is good enough for me. Kind of sounds like he really wants to... but he isn't really on speaking terms with Capcom. I think that if they reached out to P*, it would work. The question is whether Capcom would do that... probably not.

Which is why it would be surprising and tears-inducing.

Yeah, Capcom is pretty lame. But anything is possible, I guess. Speculation for this could go on forever, so thankfully E3 is just next week. I'm anxious to see what they have cooking.

Honestly I don't think Wonderful 101 had any kind of sales potential to speak of no matter how it was sent out. It's a niche style of story told through a niche style of gameplay, which is significantly more complicated than in the similar but more accessible Viewtiful Joe, which was never a big seller either. Wonderful 101 is the definitive example of a niche game.

So after going through what we know the only things that come to mind is either Bayonetta 3 or a DMC x Bayonetta crossover.

Thanks to Hashimoto's retweet, we know the game is Nintendo-related, and in the past it was said that we should be watchful for the continuation of Bayonetta, and that it was hoped for something Bayonetta to come out this year. So that bring Bayonetta in to play here, and it seems that at the end of a Bayo 2 featurette, Hitoshi Yamagami(Producer of Bayo 2) mentioned that something else was in the works, but that he couldn't talk about it. So we know that PG has something else in the works with Nintendo. Which most surely is what will be revealed in IGN

Then there are the tweets, which by the way he has been, it noticeable that JP Kellams is being cryptic with them. The clues are:

"So this is happening. It will surprise you. Might even make you cry:"
"Our next game will have you seeing red. #PlatinumHype"
"Our next game will make you say "Oh My God!" #platinumhype"

The first can be taken in two ways, the most obvious being that the surprise will make people cry, be it of rage because of it being a exclusive, most surely on Wii U, or of joy because of the return of a IP or maybe a crossover. But if look more into it, he says that it "Might even make you cry" He doesn't says it will make us cry, but that it might, as in we may cry, or should I say Devil May Cry

Seeing red... It could be W102, but it doesn't fit with the first hint, though the Left Eye of Darkness is indeed red, but PG has worked with another character that has red in his outfit, and that is our dear and hunky Dante.

Last, but not least the "Oh My God" part, well Enzo says it in Bayo 1, so there is not much to look into there.

So my bet would be on either Bayo 3, or a DMC x Bayo crossover. Though a Bayo 3, wouldn't exactly fit, with the second hint... afterall SPOILER ALERT the Eyes of the World got destroyed in Bayo 2, so there wouldn't be any reason for us to be seeing red, unless the game focus on Jeanne, and by the end of Bayo 2 it seems she has began to wear a White Umbran battle suit instead of her usual red suit.

It's being revealed on the same day of Nintendo's Digital Event, so I think there's a correlation here. 

Scroll through his log about how sick he was that people were crying over Bayo 2. It could very well be tears of joy, but the guys at Platinum Games also have a very big troll sensibility to them as well (as shown in tweeting things with words from platinum games in it to make fun of people guessing that when he tweeted the "cry" statement he was refering to DMC). 

Kellams later tweeted not to take those as hints since people thought the crying one was a reference to DMC. So the second one is a purposeful reference to W101, and the third to God Hand.

That may be the case, but when somebody says something it doesn't always have to be true, specially when it is in the videogame industry, they may throw us hints that are more than obvious that something is coming,  but they will alway try to say they mean nothing over and over, till it turns out to be true,  so I wouln't trust what he says of them not being hints.
