Devil May Cry X Bayonetta

I´m seeing it, please be true, and please be on WiiU, I´m fine if it´s a multiplatform because that project needs all the praise and love it can get!

Would Capcom allow it to be Wii U exclusive?

I would personally rather see a God Of War X Devil May Cry, the two titans of the genre.

As for OP, would like it to be Bayonetta 3.

I don´t care if it´s exclusive, it would be great for Nintendo but I only want to enjoy the game

It would make sense to be multiplatform since devil may cry has the fanbase outside Nintendo.

hmm Bayo 2 multiplat announcement? That would be enough to make everyone cry... like literally.

Dengle, you know that's not happening.

Wii U it is, if it will make people cry. Must be a previously established IP as well.

Yeah but I don't think Capcom would like to have a crossover of Devil May Cry with Bayonetta since Bayonetta wouldn't really add much of a fanbase to what Devil May Cry already has. If they would make a crossover they would like to do it with a more popular series than Devil May Cry to expand its fanbase and God Of War would be a perfect fit.

But God of war would be only a playstation thing, i don´t think is happening. Specially when yesterday they retweeted Nintendo talking about the E3 just hours before this news. Bayonetta is very popular now it just need something like that, a multiplatform crossover with some popular character, to become a true superstar.

I know it's not, just fooling. Remembered that post and thought it was a funny coincidence.

This seems like a pretty big tip, actually. I don't think they'd expect people to cry about a new IP, or about Bayonetta 3 (considering Bayo 2 is already Wii U exclusive), or more Wonderful 101. I don't even think this makes sense as a suggestion of Star Fox.

I think that pretty much leaves Vanquish 2. Maybe MadWorld 2, but the first was Wii exclusive so I don't see tears happening for that.

The other possibility is that they are anticipating tears of joy, not of exclusivity-induced frustration. If Platinum was tapped to make a new DMC, or a new Okami, or even a new Viewtiful Joe, that would surprise everyone and indeed reduce many to tears. It is still possible that the IGN game is multiplatform while the Hashimoto retweet is for Bayo 2 DLC.

Yeah God Of War X Devil May Cry would be PS exclusive if it were to happen but that doesn't matter since the majority of hack and slash fans are on PS consoles as proven by sales of hack and slash games.

Btw Bayonetta is popular on forums but if it were popular in real life Bayonetta 2 would have sold a lot more. Still a great game though, but not popular.

Bayo is popular enough to become something big on the mainstream market, it just need something to help it explode imo, and this would be perfect.

I agree that it can become a lot bigger if it goes multiplatform, but it needs to do it on its own and not through a crossover game.

You could be right. I'm just not sure Platinum wants to work with Capcom anymore, which is why I'm skeptical of DMC or Viewtiful Joe.

But who knows? As long as it comes to Wii U, I'm happy. And given their relationship with Nintendo, if it's multiplat I don't think they'll skip it. BUT at the same time I'm not sure Nintendo would spend time on Bayo 2 DLC at E3. That seems more like something for a Direct later on, but I could be wrong.
