For me it's Super Mario Galaxy, I find highly enjoyable all of the ones I've played (well, maybe with the exception of Sunshine I could never get into it) but Mario Galaxy 1 just felt too magical (Rosalina's stories made me cry), Mario 64 is second place for me.

Out of all of the Mario games I enjoy, I think the Super Mario Galaxy games are the best ones, with the 2nd one being higher up than the first.

Super Mario Galaxy is my pick, but the 2D Mario, 3D Mario, and Paper Mario are honestly all separate franchises. You might as well include Mario Kart if you're doing that.
