June 7, 2015: James Collinsworth*, our trusted E3 insider, has turned to us for the leaking of his stories, as renowed websites such as IGN and Polygon have turned down his offer due to unreliability and fraud. Rumors of each of the big three have been listed, so without further ado, here they are:
Firstly, the most important company, Sony, due to the sales of their current home console, the PS4.
"Sony's current home console is breaking records, if we ignore the Wii. However, we all know they have nothing to show for the PS4 at E3, so we might as well skip over that. The real news here is that at some point during Sony's conference, they will reveal that for a one-month period, they will give away the PlayStation Vita for free. Yes, free. The market leader has entrusted this information with me as they want to test the waters for this experiment. It's no secret that the Vita has had a slow start, selling only 10.6 million units since its launch in February 2012. For this reason, Sony has gone with a rather controversial route: to literally give it away. Time will only tell if this move has any impact on its position in the handheld race, or if the system will fade into obscurity as the PSP did."
Perhaps the most uninteresting piece of information I've collected, Microsoft is returning with the Kinect.
"Unnamed for the protection of his employment, a Microsoft correspondent has confided to me that due to their poor showing at E3 2013 as well as the XBO's initial reveal, the Kinect 2.0 was never truly able to get off the ground. Due to this, Phil Spencer allegedly believes a Kinect 3.0 can be a potential success, as the casual Wii market of last generation is willing to spend hundreds of dollars each year on a new tablet or smartphone, why wouldn't they pay just $350 for a living room entertainment system, fully equiped with the best vocal recognition system of this century? Cortana truly is bae."
Finally, the company that we're forced to care about year after year, Nintendo.
"Nintendo's E3 conference, or digital event rather, starts off with the boasting of sales. Imagine that. It has been confirmed to me that Splatoon, Nintendo's childish take on the gritty shooter games of last generation, has really taken off. Selling a total of 10.2m units, Splatoon has managed to outsell even the Wii U itself. In fact, we're not sure exactly who is buying these copies, outside of the lorry of Splatoon copies that were stolen by a group of thieves. However, this is no impressive feat, considering it's the first act of innovation the company has committed in nearly 30 years. Furthermore, unsuprising to most, they later go back on their word of not showing the lastest Legend of Zelda title at this year's show. Although, what they show might not be what you expect. Or want. Due to recent news that Koei Tecmo collaboration Hyrule Warriors has sold over 1m units worldwide, Nintendo has opted to scrap the development of their current title and shape it into a game similar to Warriors. Considering Zelda games usually sell around 2m lifetime, it's a wonder why the ancient game publisher would allow such simple profits to slip away. Bankruptcy is on the horizon."
