Forums - Microsoft - Forza 6 to finally add weather and nighttime racing. Also "1080px"? Oh, and first screens.

I am excited to finally see the final icing on the cake for this series.

To me, the cars are all amazingly detailed both inside and out, and have so much variety. The gameplay is as sim or accessible as you want it. Amazing community, customization, and multiplayer features. And now, it finally gets weather + day/night, not that it needed them before to be cutting edge. Might just pick this one up if the metascore takes it back to pre-Forza 5 levels :)

I think that the "px" must be a typo (like the 50fps thing) or some idiot that tried to abbreviate "pixel".

50fps probably because they run on 50hz TVs over there like in Europe....

Now I hope you can turn off the night outside of enduro racing... It's a SIM... Never seen a GT race at night for no reason.... Now snow races we are talking... Night useless beside 24h races in a SIM..

So they're finally making a racing sim.

They have been for a while now, at a faster pace then others and with the best critical acclaim since the first game.

Sure you could say Forza 5 metascore isn't as high as its main competitor, but I can easily move the goal posts and say this was a launch exception, and for THIS generation, it is running unapposed, unless you count Project Cars. In which case, Forza 6 makes a great case to overthrow it.

This is their first racing sim though after making year after year only arcade racers. And no I will not consider any racing game without weather that affects driving a "sim".

Well most of the people that do most of their racing on PC's think that neither Forza or GT are racing sims.

Probably will still have me pulling my hair and get bored in a week. This news doesn't really appeal to me. Horizon 2 can probably keep me occupied till Horizon 3 comes out. Best racing game ever made.... Only reason why I would even play a main Forza game is probably to get points on the Forza Hub and achievements.

So Where would you want Forza Horizon 3 to go?  FH1 is USA, FH2 is Europe - so South America? Asia?  Africa?

I think driving by Aconcagua, Lake Titicaca, and the massive Andes?   It would be really cool.  They could even do the motorcycle ride of Che Guevara and Alberto Granado.

What do you think it would or should be?

Really not sure I see any point of Consol over PC's since Kinect, Wii and other alternative ways to play have been abandoned.

Top 50 'most fun' game list coming soon!

Tell me a funny joke!

They should bring it back to Colorado and hopefully it will be more open world like the first game was and the map needs to be even bigger.  Also since Forza 6 will launch with over 450 cars Horizon 3 needs to launch with over 350 cars.

Turn 10 doesnt make the Horizon games. And only using weather as a barometer of determinging what's a sim is very wrong. Car exterior/interior, sound, physics....you know, things about the car itself. Weather is nice but dont mean squat if the cars are lacking in certain departments.

I'm sure they're targeting 60, but then again, it's possible that 50 fps is accurate, as that would be a fair compromise to maintain 1080p and use more extensive graphical effects while maintaining a fair level of smoothness and responsiveness. If motion blur is used effectively, it could very well mask the 50 fps over a X/60 Hz TV. Forza Horizon 2 uses motion blur rather effectively, making 30 fps feel surprisingly "smooth".

that is smooth as long as you dont change to a 60fps game. recently played FH2 and thenFM4 on my 360. the latter one felt way more fluid.
sorry for the writing, btoke the radial bone head of my right arm. and of course, im right hander.
