Killzone shadow fall is pretty epic, otherwise Infamous second son is pretty awesome and my god it looks freaking stunning, much better than all cross gen games. Driveclub is nice to since the update and pretty cheap, although seasonpass is almost a must to get the best experience.

Your tale sounds exactly like mine. All the games I got on ps4 I could off got on my ps3 which is now a dust collector/Netflix machine. Don't know what PlayStation plus is offering your end but in UK we got MGS5 ground zeroes

You can play GoW3 without having played the other 2. Just watch the intro and end cinematics of both games and you're settled. Or read a 10 sentence summary. I didn't play 1 and only got halfway through game 2 before I gave away my PS2 in favor of getting a PS3 back then. GoW3 in the end I finished 4 times each time just as epic.

I'm not too sure. I remember getting to this mission with like tunnels/subways with auto-turrets that you needed to disable. Then again, my brain could be just completely messing that up. It was like 6 years ago :P

It looks like infamous is the clear winner here. So that's what I'll probably be going for, maybe GoW down the line.

Well sadly you just eliminated two of the best exclusives available on PS4 right now since you don't want to play The Last of Us or Bloodborne. A shame considering how awesome those two are. Though considering you want an 8-10 hour game that also means Bloodborne is doubly out. Have you played Diablo 3? That might be worth looking into. Battlefield 4 might be something you'd enjoy since I see you've played Call of Duty.

If you're willing to try a game even if it's something that takes a long time to beat I'd recommend The Witcher 3 and Dragon Age: Inquisition. Shadow of Mordor, possibly. Arkham Knight is coming out in a few weeks. The previous two games made by Rocksteady were excellent so I'm sure this one will be amazing as well.

If your favorite genres are action adventure, platforming and racing I'd recommend Infamous/Shadow of Mordor, Rayman Legends and Driveclub respectively but I believe all the games below are very enjoyable.
