Forums - Sony - Recommend me a PS4 game (please)

BB and TLOU are not horror .-.
I hate horror games/movies and I absolutely loved those games. You should definitely play both, but if you're looking for a shorter experience just go with tlou.

Infamous is a pretty good game, imho better than the previous games of the series.

I heard many good things about Shadow of Mordor, but that's at least 20 hours long only for the main story and it's also available on PS360.

Infamous is like 7 hours and the campaign was enjoyable for me.

I did find it short though, but you would appreciate that most likely.

It was more like 10 hours of awesomeness, not 7. How did you complete it so quick?

Might have been the second playthrough i did. Still short IMO.

Yep its short, but there's a big difference between 7 hour and 10 hour long games ;)

So, I've had a PS4 game since launch. These are the games I've owned/rented: Lego Marvel Super Heroes, Injustice: God's Among Us, CoD Ghosts, Ass Creed Black Flag, Tomb Raider, GTA V, CoD AW, PvZ: Garden Warfare.

All multi-platform, all (most?)  mutli-gen.

I want a game that's 8-10 hours long. Preferably action/adventure/platforming (although racing welcome if action-oriented like Motorstorm or Burnout). Review scores don't matter as long as it's generally considered to be a good game. Not a fan of horror, so not Last of Us or Bloodborne.

I don't care if it's exclusive, although it would be nice to have a game that's not on PS3. Looking at my collection, I could have saved my girl a bunch of cash if I just asked for a ps3.

Cheers.

Oh, and no indie titles. I tend to suck up everything on PSN Plus, I don't want to drop money on something that will probably be free at some point in the future (grumble, grumble, Black Flag and Injustice).

I strongly advise at least the last of us. Bloodborne, I can understand you not wanting, but it's arguably the best game on the ps4. The last of us isn't really scary tbh. If you're shying away from the last of us because it's scary, there are only two parts where I got freaked out. It's creepy and eerie, though. I really enjoyed ingamous second son. It's not an amazing game, but I would be surprised if you didn't enjoy playing it.

AC Unity?

Most games on the PS4 and Xbox One are mediocre experiences.

By not including Bloodborne, you're removing the only good next gen game the PS4 has. Also, Bloodborne isn't a horror game. It's like calling Castlevania a horror game. Just because it has horror themed enemies doesn't mean the game is.

Just realized that you haven't played The Last of Us. Though the singleplayer does have horrifying themes and elements it's far more centered around stealth and it's simply an experience you can't miss. Just mute the sound when too scary.

If the singleplayer is too long for you (you said 10 hours tops) then you still have to try the multiplayer. Again it's centered around stealth and hands down the best mp experience I've ever had. Try it and blame me if you don't like it (I'm almost certain you will though).
