Strayed away from Nomura's vision? You mean the vision that had the game in development hell? The one that kept Noctis from having official outfit for years? Nomura had his shot at his First FF as director, and he bombed. Just like FF14, somebody has to come in a clean up the mess.... THEIR way, not old directors way.

I'm guessing Stella was too important a character. With the shift to a Boy Band theme, she didn't fit. If true, that would bug me, but I've already lost interest in FF15 so it's hard to care.

Come on, we have Luna instead :P
And we still don't know whether there will be some romance or not...be it between man and woman or something different.

Jokes aside I'm looking forward to playing this game. Hopefully it will lead the ff saga to a new prosperous period.

I would've preferred the old concept with the gameplay and everything included, but the old concept was going nowhere (I blame Square-Enix more than Nomura). So, FFXV is the game we're getting, which I'm fine with. I'd rather have that than nothing at all.

I'm happy Nomaru isn't in charge anymore, he isn't that great. I mean the new vision (characters) doesn't seem great either (might actually be Nomaru's left overs), but at this point anything beats Nomaru vision.

Agni's Prophecy is FF16 and I want that! A Nomura less FF is a good FF

You didn't read your own article, it was a company decision. You can't even say that the changes wouldn't have been made without a change in directors.

Pretty much this.  And why anyone would consider the story concepts created by Nomura as being truly integral to a creating a good storyline for a game is beyond me.  He has yet to prove himself as a good story writer.  KH1?  Oh you mean one of the last Squaresoft  games when Hironobu Sakaguchi was still around and looking over things for quality control? 

When Nomura gets full control of something we get ideas like Advent Children, and from the looks of FFXV's characters that is still in place unfortunately...but I can only guess how substantial the characters are from a development and writing stand point now that he's out of the way and Tabata has taken over.
