MCC on the other hand was a massive investiment to Microsoft, at least 6 studios word wide, new cutsceanes, new voice work, new soundtrack, so massive the MP could barely work form months.

It was arguably the biggest exclusive of last Hollydays season.

Microsoft had to push the collection to get back the investment. The game is being bundled and discounted all around. There is even new content add to it. They need to sell and are selling months after the release.

And Halo 5 was almost one year away.

This year things are a little different with Uncharted.

For what we know about UDC the 3 games are only upres/frame ports with no multiplay and no aditional content.

Sony doesn´t need to sell that much to break even.

UDC will face much harder third party competition than MCC.

AND Uncharted 4 is supposed to hit shelves in about 6 months after the collection release.

So, using your math, Uncharted collection should struggle to reach 1 million.

Hope you do know that game sales don't rely strictly on arithmetic.

How else do you explain, for instance, TLOU remaster, which singlehandedly outsold MCC, even though the original sold 7 times less than Halo games?

PS4 has a huge user base difference and Uncharted is its biggest franchise nowadays. Would be a huge surprise if it didn't outsell Halo.

I understand where you are coming from but I believe that the PS4's base size means that the tie ratio for the NDC can be way lower and still outsell MCC.  Unfortunately, there is no getting around the fact that a huge portion of the sales will come from folks who haven't played the series.   Also, being a flagship title, you can expect Sony to bundle it around the world.   This by itself (given the fact that the PS4 is number one  and will probably continue to sell a a faster rate) means that the PS4 will probably sell this game for Sony.

Uncharted... double base, TLOUR high sales, bundles and for me the best franchise.

Um.. No.. The person said because Uncharted series sold 21 million that the Remaster would outsell Halo:MCC..   I was pointing out how that logic didnt make sense.. as Halo outsold Uncharted in every single way..       

BUT..     TLoU wasn't really a remaster..    It was released within a year on a new generation console.. This wasn't a series of games that have been out for SEVERAL years and play by millions already OVER and OVER..     Very different product then Halo:MCC and Uncharted Series..    Same as GTA5..  I don't consider it the same..      These were just new releases on NEW consoles for the most part..       not several year old games.. put together and pushed out.

So.. I dont think you can compare them..      HALO utlimately had/has more of a FAN base then Uncharted..   Doesn't sound like there will be big upgrades to the Uncharted games.. so really the purchasers will mainly be people who DIDN't play the games..  Also.. with the new one coming out withing 4-6 months of this release.. WAY less time for people who want their Uncharted fix..

Nah,  the original comment said the collection won't sell as well because mainline Uncharted games haven't sold 7 million copies. That was his basis for saying that MCC will outsell NDC.

Well, Uncharted has sold 21 million copies amongst the 3 mainline games, with improving sales with each installment, so at least on average, they sell 7 million. The original premise was wrong (UC hasn't sold 7 million), so the original conclusion should be wrong (2 million max). Tongue in cheek comment was "willing to bet MCC loses this fight" because the reason given for MCC being able to "win" the fight was false.

I'd go with Uncharted just because the userbase is nearly double on the ps4 and the game is sure to be heavily bundled, especially if Sony remain light on any other first party offerings coming towards the end of the year.

Still though, it isn't exactly a bargain in comparison to MCC nor does it have multiplayer or is it completely updated like H2A in MCC. Plus all the games were released last gen and will still be fresh in the memory for a lot people who maybe are not too bothered to pick them up again and even uncharted fans may have trouble finding a reason to buy it apart from the beta if they have already played through the campaigns a lot.

Um.. You seem to be forgetting..   Its 4 games.. not 3..    Uncharted:Golden Abyss on PS Vita.. sold over 1.3 million copies..      SO..    It can be very much the case that NO Uncharted game has sold 7 or more million.        Each could be less then 6.75..  Which..  actually puts VG Chartz numbers as very close to accurate..
