MCC on the other hand was a massive investiment to Microsoft, at least 6 studios word wide, new cutsceanes, new voice work, new soundtrack, so massive the MP could barely work form months.
It was arguably the biggest exclusive of last Hollydays season.
Microsoft had to push the collection to get back the investment. The game is being bundled and discounted all around. There is even new content add to it. They need to sell and are selling months after the release.
And Halo 5 was almost one year away.
This year things are a little different with Uncharted.
For what we know about UDC the 3 games are only upres/frame ports with no multiplay and no aditional content.
Sony doesn´t need to sell that much to break even.
UDC will face much harder third party competition than MCC.
AND Uncharted 4 is supposed to hit shelves in about 6 months after the collection release.
