According to its wiki page, its sold in excess of 14.5 million copies (as of 2012). Its way undertracked on vgchartz.

Just so we are all aware, Wikipedia is not a reliable source for information as anyone can edit it.

Vgchartz' data for Halo 3 may or may not be undertracked. Wikipedia is not the correct site to prove this one way or another.

Honestly, I thought 343 did an amazing job on Halo 4. So in terms of quality, I wouldn't worry too much. Halo MCC was an entirely different beast altogether.

That said, my ONLY concern at this point would be the release date slipping into 2015, just because that seems to be par for the course these days.

I personaly don't understand Why Halo 4 receives so much criticism. The campaign is awesome imo.

I'll borrow a Xbone from a friend once he finishes Halo 5 to play it myself. I love the series.

I think people heard bad things and used it as an excuse to attack it.

The campaign and multiplayer are both solid.

Remember, people have been saying Halo is dead or gone down in quality since ODST (2009). 6 years later and people still make the same claims but we kept getting great Halo games.

Agreed.  This is happening a lot with gaming recently.

Any game that becomes popular will be victim of this.

If there is one thing its the score. Halo 4's music wasn't bad. Just not that epic.

Very few non-Nintendo gamesoundtracks have become that iconic.

Halo 4's multiplayer was trash but the single player was still fun. Played through it twice. I'll buy Halo 5 purely for the campaign. Battlefront will fulfill my multiplayer craving this holiday.

Sigs are dumb. And so are you!

Somehow I think 2 scenarios could unfold if they want to have a release within 4 - 5 months. Either we're going to have less content as usual for Halo game with few bugs and problems at launch. Or they are very ambitious and we might see similar problems occur like with MCC.

However we'll have to see at E3 what they'll present though it is always difficult to judge knowing that games aren't always how they really are at those presentations.

Stories unfolded with my home made rap songs. Feel free to listen here with lyrics: https://youtu.be/vyT9PbK5_T0

The MCC was a completely different story.
And Halo 5 had a very good working beta.

-Radical changes to the art design, effectively resulting in many "visual retcons"
Is a pro for me to be honest.
And its not like Bungie never changed anything

-The addition of QTEs
Neither pro nor con, basically because those very few and very simple QTE's never hurt me. I still think QTE's are bad game design overall, but that kind of QTE is the least bad.

-Ho-hum story with a flat villain
Still better told than Bungie ever managed in the games. So i'm hoping for the story to get better while keeping the way better story telling.

My only real concern is for its sales. Xbox brand isn't what it once was, Halo 4 made a lot of veteran fans disgruntled, and Halo MCC was a laughingstock for months in the industry. However, it won't flop or anything, just be weaker than some of the other entries I think.

No, I gave up on the franchise since 343i took over.
